CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 2:07 pm by Chairperson, Anthony Bello.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
18-7228 Construction Regulation Board Minutes of March 12, 2018
A motion was made by Board Member Miller, seconded by Board Member
Permuy, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.
Yeas: 5- Board Member Bello,Board Member Bello,Board Member Arevalo,Board
Member Permuy and Board Member Miller
Absent: 1- Board Member Daley
PUBLIC HEARING
18-7197 9610 Old Cutler Road (3 Structures - Picnic Shelter, Park Office Building,
Red Fish Grill Restaurant) - Request for extension of time
Respondent's were present.
The owner shall recertify the three structures within 90 days of the Board's
Order, April 20, 2018. If the requirement is not completed within the 90
days the owner shall pay a daily fine of $250 for each day the violation
continues.
A motion was made by Board Member Arevalo, seconded by Board Member
Permuy, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

Member Permuy and Board Member Miller
Absent: 1- Board Member Daley
OLD BUSINESS
17-6843 6855 E. Edgewater Drive
Respondent's were present.
The owners attorney requested an extension and for the $250 daily fine,
which commenced April 13, 2018, to be stopped. The Board members
discussed the request and it was motioned to make no changes to the
existing Order issued at the January hearing. The daily fine is to continue
until compliance. The existing Order remains.

Respondent's were not present.
Secretary to the Board informed the Members the owner called in the
morning and expressed she will not be attending the hearing as she didn't
have a progress update and an estimated completion date.
The owner wanted to request for the Board to stop the $250 daily fine,
which commenced January 9, 2017. No action was taken by the Board.
The existing Order remains.
16-5530 624 Santander Avenue - Request for extension of time
Respondent's were present.
The $250 daily fine, which commenced June 13, 2017, has been stopped
as the owner is doing a complete remodel to the structure. There are no
occupants in the building. The fine amount will be mitigated at a future
settlement agreement meeting once the structure is in compliance.
The owner shall recertify the structure within 90 days of the Board's Order,
April 20, 2018. If the requirement is not completed within the 90 days the
owner shall pay a new daily fine of $250 for each day the violation
continues.
A motion was made by Board Member Miller, seconded by Board Member
Permuy, that this matter be approved. The motion passed by the following vote.

NOTE
Any person making impertinent or slanderous remarks or who become boisterous while
addressing the Board, shall be barred from further audience before the Board by the
Chair, unless permission to continue or again address the Board is granted by the
majority vote of the Board Members present. Clapping, applauding, heckling or verbal
outbursts or any remarks in support or opposition to a speaker shall be prohibited .
Signs or placards shall not be permitted in Commission Chambers.
Any person, who acts as a lobbyist pursuant to the City of Coral Gables Ordinance No .
2006-11, as amended, must register with the City Clerk prior to engaging in lobbying
activities before City Staff, Boards, Committees or City Commission. A copy of the
Ordinance is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall. If a person decides to
appeal any decision made by a Board, Committee or City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Any meeting may be
opened and continued and, under certain circumstances, additional legal notice will not
be provided.
Any person requiring special accommodations in order to attend or participate in the
