Review Notes: a. Notes May 1, 2023 Tai moved to approve. Rachael Marchbankssaid now that we have enough voting members we can go back to “minutes” 2. New Business: a. Appointment Committee Leadership positions w/ possible medium focuses - Sam moved to table this week, Sasha seconded i. Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary - Election shall be held in January ii. hold election for interim until January iii. special meetings - need at least 4 members request or by request of chair person b. How should voting look moving forward? i. Rachael Marchbankswill look into what our ordinance states for quorum? c. Tai met w/ Sonja Horoshko and Kirby Foster (Director of Food Pantry) i. re. social media credentials, Sonja to help with handing this over ii. possibly appeal to facebook as an option d. Ad Hoc w/ Marchbanks i. push toward a creative district - need addl. ad hoc meeting re. this and strategic plan ii. next ad hoc 6/23/23 @ 10 am - 12 pm e. Move July’s meeting i. July 4rd tentatively ii. add all new folks to google calendar iii. Sam moves to change next meeting to 7/10/23 @ 5 pm f. CCA update i. Mural pamphlet Becky Levy, Jodi Jahrling ii. Colorado Opportunity Now - Jessica Thurman iii. 81321 Launch - CPAAC to take over? iv. Merryweather’s mural 1. looking for more info on how to get this facilitated 2. Everybody Eats Food Festival - Becky Levy- planning on meeting with elders in Towaoc per Dante g. Follow up meetings i. next ad hoc 6/23/23 @ 10 am - 12 pm ii. Brian - Mesa Verde Country - shared visions of community economic development and future of lodgers tax 1. County - collects lodgers tax a. can get grant from their lodgers tax 2. city - also collects lodgers tax a. mostly given to Mesa Verde Country via contract 3. New law gives the ability for the lodgers tax to go toward childcare and arts iii. Ignacio Creative District Director iv. Durango Creative District Director v. Land’s End Foundry Tour/Paonia Creative District - TBD Spring vi. Ridgeway Creative District Director h. Upcoming Events i. Burrofest - 10-3 pm i. obstacle course ran in heats, 2 burros running 4 identical obstacles at the same time ii. arts market, beer garden, food trucks, kiss my assets photo booth iii. grand entry with MHS band iv. photo exhibit at the visitor center v. Veryl will have her work vi. mustang camp - non-profit that tames burros and will bring them for adoption vii. melodrama and music in the afternoon d. Grand Summer nights in July in Mancos e.
