City of Cortland - Historic/Architectural Board Historic and/or Architectural Advisory Board City of Cortland April 11, 2017 A regular meeting of the Historic and/or Architectural Review Board was held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 25 Court St Mayor’s Conference Room at 8:00 am. Present: Chairman Linda Kline, Commissioners Dan Dineen, Karina Murphy, Richard Stock Absent: Commissioners Mary Ann Kane, Pam Abbott, Chris Barnes Staff Present: Confidential Secretary Devon Rainbow, Zoning Officer Bob Rhea, DC Knickerbocker Minutes of March 14, 2017: a motion was made to approve the minutes as amended. Motion by: Comm. Dineen Seconded by: Comm. Murphy Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Item #1 – 99 Main St. (Stevens) – Signage  Rear exterior signage Sara Sears was present for the meeting. She brought the sign that is being proposed. This was the original sign that was up at their other location. It will be placed on the rear side of 99 Main St. It will be 3” above the door located between the glass doors and the metal overhead door. It is 5’4”x 1’10”. The material is ¾” plywood with blue paint and yellow/gold vinyl lettering. There is a heart with figures on the sign that are green, yellow and blue. Stock Approved: Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 New Business/Old Business: 77-79 Main Street still has 3 windows to replace as proposed in 2014. 98 Tompkins St (Babjack) has not fixed the fence that was proposed and approved in June 2015. ZEO Bob Rhea has talked to him and he was assured it would be done by the end of May 2017. Minutes of April 11, 2017 meeting  City of Cortland - Historic/Architectural Board There is a new Hair Solon at 11 Groton Ave. ZEO Bob Rhea talked to the owner and they are going to be putting an application together for signage to bring to the commission. There was some discussion regarding the current Commission status and regulations. There has been some talk regarding changing the Charter and requirements to be on the Commission.
