City of Cortland - Historic/Architectural Board Historic and/or Architectural Advisory Board City of Cortland July 10, 2018 A special meeting of the Historic and/or Architectural Review Board was held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 25 Court St, Mayor’s Conference Room at 8:00 am. Present: Chairman Linda Kline, Commissioners Richard Stock, Dan Dineen, and Karina Murphy, Pam Abbott, and Chris Barnes Staff Present: Confidential Secretary Devon Rainbow, ZEO Bob Rhea Minutes of May 8, 2018: A motion was made by Comm. Dineen to approve the minutes as presented and Comm. Stock seconded the motion. Approved: Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 Item #1 – 30 Tompkins St. (Hamilton) – Ramp Installation: - David Hamilton would like to install an ADA-accessible ramp to 30 Tompkins St. This ramp was placed at the YMCA temporarily while construction of the concrete ramp was being completed. - The proposed ramp will be constructed of aluminum with no change to the natural color. - The proposed ramp will be 40’ long to service a rise of 39-inches to the porch deck. From the base of the ramp, there will be a 10’ incline, a 5x10’ landing, and a 25’ incline terminating at the porch deck. - Existing landscaping displaced by the ramp location will be relocated and supplemented as necessary to surround and partially obscure the ramp from the street. Barnes Approved: Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 New Business/Old Business: - 77/79 Main Street: new construction is underway, as is the replacement of a broken window. - Babjack – front has been completed with the fence latticework. - Seven Valley Crossfit will be bringing forth a proposal in the next month regarding a new front facade.
