Transit Manager Report-Central
• We had impressive passenger counts for the month of August with most notable increases
on the trolleys and county demand program.
• The Stevensburg/Brandy Station Hybrid/Fixed demand is planned to begin on Sept. 30th.
Like the Foothills Express, this program will operate on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and
Thursday’s. Passenger cards will be presented at the meeting. Promotions of the program
include social media and public presentations and postings on buses.
• Through Street Level Media, we have completed a variety of bus advertisement installs.
• The facility has received some general upkeep to include re-surfacing of the parking lot
and a new retaining wall complete with landscaping on the hillside which showed
erosion.
• Newly designed ADA cards are in use for our passengers. The card has the VRT logo and
includes a lost and found address. Lead Dispatcher, Carol Hopkns oversees the program.
