TARRYWILE PARK AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING September 19, 2023 CALL TO ORDER: On September 19, 2023 at 6:04 p.m., the regular meeting of the Tarrywile Park Authority, was called to order by Chairman Michael Marcus ATTENDANCE: Board Members Present: M. Marcus, W. Platz, J. LaValla, B. Talarico, D. Manacek, & E. Prybylsk Board Members Absent: M. Repole, N.Wakeham & J. Harner Park Staff: B. Petro Guests: J. Gillotti, M. Nolan, J. Summerville, Peggy & Kevin McGowan Public Speaking: Mr. Nolan and Mr. Summerville spoke briefly on the Friends of Tarrywile and future collaborations with the TPA. AGENDA: 1. A. Chairman’s Report: N/A B. Executive Director’s Report: B. Petro submitted the report. 2. Minutes: A motion was made by E. Prybylski to approve the minutes of the meeting. J. LaValla seconded. The motion passed unanimously. 3. Financial Items: A. Financial Reports – August 2023: A motion was made by B. Talarico to approve the financial reports. D. Manacek seconded. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Old Business: A. Fundraising: The administrative staff continues to work on fundraising and grants. Discussion followed. The Tarrywile Park Benefit Trail Ride will be October 14th. B. LoCIP Projects: This item was reported on under the Executive Directors Report. C. Trail Work: E. Prybylski spoke on the trail work that has been and what work still needs to be completed in time for the trail ride. D. Forestry Report: J. LaValla started discussion in regards to how the Forestry report can be utilized to engage the Friends of Tarrywile. Discussion followed. J. LaValla will set-up a meeting between the TPA and FOT. 5. New Business: N/A 6. Other Business: A. Job Descriptions: Chairman Marcus requested that the current job descriptions be looked at based on the reassignment of the part time grounds and buildings caretaker. Discussion followed. Staff will email the descriptions out. M. Marcus will set up a meeting with D. Manacek, E. Prybylski and J. LaValla to discuss the issue. Adjournment: A motion was made by B.
