TOWN  of  DANE-­‐Minutes   MONTHLY  BOARD  MEETING      SEPTEMBER  13,  2021   6:30pm  at  Dane  Town  Hall      213  W  Main  St      Dane  WI   MASKS  ARE  REQUIRED   1.   Call  meeting  to  order-­‐Meeting  was  called  to  order  by  Chair  Dave  Koenig  @  6:30pm   2.   Agenda  Confirmation-­‐agenda  confirmed,  no  changes   3.   Minutes  from  previous  meeting  August  2,  2021  –  Motion  by  Rich  Haag,  second  by  George  Dorn   to  approve  minutes  from  8/2/2021  board  meeting.    Motion  carried  unanimously.   4.   Treasurer’s  report  will  be  presented  –  Motion  by  George  Dorn,  second  by  Rich  Haag  to  approve   the  treasurer  report  as  presented  and  read.    Motion  carried  unanimously.   5.   Public  Input-­‐Mary  Jane  Clemens  brought  her  request  to  the  board  to  add  a  School  Bus  sign  on   top  &  bottom  of  Lee  Rd.    Also  bought  concern  about  speed  on  Gluth  Rd  –  would  like  to  see  2  –   45  MPH  signs.    Also  commented  that  he  is  very  happy  with  the  patrolman  work  around  the  area.     Kendra  Tutsch  thanked  the  board  for  the  sealcoating.   6.   Public  Works  Report-­‐Town  of  Dane  is  currently  looking  for  an  employee.    Motion  made  by  Dave   Koenig,  second  by  George  Dorn  to  add  school  bus  signs  on  the  top  &  bottom  of  Lee  Rd.     Motion  by  Dave,  second  by  George  to  ad  2-­‐45  MPH  signs  to  Gluth  Rd.    Both  motions  carried   unanimously.   7.   Recycling  Committee  Report-­‐Transfer  Site  is  looking  clean,  signage  is  up  and  camera  is  up.    Angie   mentioned  Recycle  Grant  Application  is  due  10/1/2021.   8.   Fire  District  Report-­‐Vienna  came  to  board  with  Dane/Vienna  InterGov  Agreement,  Village  of   Dane  is  doing  the  same.    Board  paid  bills.   9.   EMS  Report-­‐Lodi  approved  expenditure  statements  and  looking  into  a  new  IT  company.     Waunakee  reviewing  website-­‐  trying  to  make  it  more  user  friendly.    Waunakee  is  recommending   vaccine  otherwise  will  need  to  be  tested  weekly.     10.  Smith  Driveway  Permit  on  CTY  Hwy  Y  –  Motion  by  Rich  Haag,  second  by  George  Dorn  to   approve  Renee  Smith  driveway  permit  on  Hwy  Y.  Motion  carried  unanimously.   11.  Mike  Schwister  Ag  Zoning  Permit-­‐board  discussion  with  Mike.    Nothing  presented  to  board  and   all  going  through  Dane  County.   12.  Mower  Sale-­‐Dave  will  work  with  Wisconsin  Surplus.    We  had  4  bids,  3  withdrew.   13.  Open  Book-­‐September  27,  2021    3:00-­‐6:00pm  -­‐  confirmed   14.  Board  of  Review-­‐October  13,2021    5:00  –  7:00pm  -­‐  confirmed   15.  Set  Budget  Meeting  Date-­‐10/11/2021  Budget  WorkShop   16.  Discussion  on  solar  farms  and  solar  panels-­‐this  topic  is  getting  to  be  a  hot  topic,  need  to  look   into  Comprehensive  Plan.    17.  ARPA  Funds  and  Uses  of  Money-­‐Dave  will  try  to  sit  in  on  some  meetings.    Meetings  are  usually   during  the  day  so  hard  to  Angie  to  attend.   18.  Correspondence  to  be  presented-­‐N/A   19.  Bills  to  be  paid.    Motion  by  Rich,  second  by  George  to  approve  the  bills.    Motion  carried   unanimously.   20.  Set  next  meeting  date-­‐October  4,  2021   21.   Convene to Closed Session pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility regarding Town of Dane Personnel. Motion by Dave Koenig, second by George Dorn to go into closed session. Motion carried unanimously. Roll Call-Dave Koenig – I, George Dorn-Here, Rich Haag-Here 22.   Reconvene to Open Session and take action if necessary. Motion by George Dorn, second by Rich Haag to come back into open session. Motion carried unanimously. Set up a time to interview Stephen Schoenberg. 23.  Adjourn-­‐Motion  by  Rich  Haag,  second  by  George  Dorn  to  adjourn.  Motion  carried   unanimously.
