Town of Dane Minutes 11/07/2022
Attendance: Dave Koenig (Town of Dane Chair), George Dorn (Town of Dane Supervisor I), Rich Haag (Town of
Dane Supervisor II), Angie Volkman (Town of Dane Clerk), Kendra Tutsch (resident), and David Smith
1. Call meeting to order. Meeting was called to order by Dave Koenig at 6:30pm.
2. Agenda Confirmation. Agenda Confirmed with No Changes.
3. Minutes from previous meeting-October 10, 2022. Motion by George, second by Dave to
approve minutes from October 10 2022 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Minutes from Special Meeting-October 17, 2022. Motion by Rich, second by George to approve
the minutes from October 17 2022 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Treasurer’s report will be presented. Motion by Geroge, second by Rich to approve the
treasurer reported presented and read. Motion carried unanimously.
6. Public Input: None
7. Public Works Report. Dave reported that the tires are bed on the pick up truck. Dave has some
quotes: Pomps $696.26 for 4 tires and McFarlanes $711.82. Motion by George, second by Rick
to approve Pomps requests for 4 new tires. Motion carried unanimously.
8. Recycling Committee Report-2023 Town & Country Trash Hauling Contract. Rich reported that
the transfer site is still looking in good shape and the new laminated posted are up in the kiosk.
George made a motion to accept the contract between the Town of Dane and Town and
Country, motion was seconded by Rich. Motion carried unanimously.
9. Fire District Report. George reported that the Fire District was a short meeting and that bills
were approved and paid and had nothing else to report to the Town of Dane at this time.
10. EMS Report. Rich reported that Waunakee approved the expenditure report, in the process of
hiring the 7th FullTime paramedic and have 3rd ambulance. The 3rd ambulance is sued from the
City of Madison and currently being wrapped with the Waunakee info on it and getting new
tires. Rich also reported for Lodi EMS that they are replacing their ambulance and looking at
rotating every 10 years and couple be up to 2 years before getting the new ambulance. Lodi
also approved expenditure statement, discussed budget and went into closed session.
11. Budget Review for 2023-Motion to refer to Special Meeting in December. Motion by Dave,
second by Rich to approve holding a special meeting in December to approve the budget.
Motion carried unanimously.
12. Discussion of Solar Farms and Solar Panels. Dave reported that Dane County is putting out an
ordinance regarding solar projects. No actions were taken at out meeting.
13. Set Special Meeting for 2022 Budget Approval: Dec 5, 2022 at 6:30pm. Confirmed.
14. Correspondence to be presented. Jana presented a card that the Town of Dane received
thanking us for the yearly donation.
15. Bills to be paid. Motion by Rich, second by Geroge to approve the bills presented. Motion
carried unanimously.
16. Set next meeting date after Special Meeting for Budget-December 5, 2022. Confirmed.
17. Adjourn. Motion by Geroge, second by Rich to adjourn the Town of Dane meeting. Motion
carried unanimously.
