Town of Dane Minutes 3/6/2023
Attendance: Dave Koenig (Town of Dane Chair), George Dorn (Town of Dane Supervisor I), Rich Haag (Town of
Dane Supervisor II), Angie Volkman (Town of Dane Clerk)

1. Call meeting to order. Meeting was called to order by David Koenig at 6:30pm.
2. Agenda Confirmation. Agenda confirmed with no changes.
3. Minutes from previous meeting Feb 6, 2023. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to approve minutes from
2/6/2023. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Treasurer’s report will be presented. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to approve the treasurer’s report as
presented and read. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Public Input-Deputy Jodi Schneider gave the board the stats for 2023 with 42 calls of service Deputy did
recommend locking up cars and side doors on homes.
6. Public Works Report: Tires for 2010 International Truck. Koenig reported that he looked at the tires on the
International and the threads are showing on inside duals. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to replace 2 tires on
the International. Motion carried unanimously.
7. Recycling Committee Report. Haag reported that Spring Clean-Up will be May 6th and also said adding the sign
to the Kiosk at the site “Town of Dane ONLY.”
8. Fire District Report. Dorn reported that the fire dept met the week prior and the Chief talked about the radios
and face mask and that they should be getting replaced every 10 years and ours are getting to the end of their
time. The face masks are around $300/each and the radios are around $4700/each. Dorn also reported that the
fire dept. paid bills.
9. EMS Report. Haag reported that both Waunakee and Lodi EMS cancelled the meetings due to inclement
weather.
10. Election Update. Volkman reported that the Feb 21st Election went well and had a higher turnout than
expected.
11. Presentation by Tri-County Paving for Joe and Diane Ripp for a CUP Permit on Bonetti Rd for Gravel Excavating.
Not Action will be taken. Set Public Hearing. Dustin from Tri-County Paving gave a presentation on him, Tri-County
and the site plan for the Gravel Excavating on Bonetti Rd. All hand outs given to the Town are on the website for
viewing. Public Hearing 4/10/2023 @ 630pm @ Dane Legion.
12. Lodi-Springfield and Ripp Dr Culvers Erosion Control Permits and bid letting process. Koenig reported that MSA
pit out for bids. Motion by Koenig , second by Dorn to pay Erosion Control permits to Dane County. Motion
carried unanimously.
13. Correspondence to be presented No Action. Volkman passed out letter received from Tri-County Paving
regarding information on new rates.
17. Bills to be paid. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously.
18. Set next meeting date April 3, 2023. Confirmed 3/6/2023.
19. 3 Adjourn. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to adjourn at 8:15pm.
