5/1/2023 Minutes Attendance: Angie Volkman (clerk), Jana Nolden (treasurer), Jenny Sweat (resident), Nancy Roth (resident), Ben Baker (resident), Kendra Tutsch (resident), Jennifer Persike (resident), Vince Niesen (resident) and Dustin Gradel & Pat Cadigen (Tri-County Paving) 1. Call meeting to order. The meeting was called to order by Dave Koenig at 6:37pm. 2. Agenda Confirmation. Agenda confirmed by board with no adjustments. 3. Minutes from previous meeting-April 3, 2023. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to approve the minutes from 4/3/2023. Motion carried unanimously. 4. Treasurer’s report will be presented. Jana presented and read the April 2023 treasurer report. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to approve the treasurer report as presented and read. Motion carried unanimously. 5. Public Input. Jim Fanta stopped by the meeting and wanted to inform us that some minutes are not on the website. Both Kendra and Angie informed Jim that some links are not working with the conversation of going from .org to .gov on our website but will look into it. 6. Election Update. Tutsch reported that elections are done for year 2023 and finished up reconciliation in WisVote for April’s election. In 2024, it is possible for Feb election but for sure April, Aug and November. Judy Pulvermacher is currently training for Chief of Elections as a backup. Kendra also reported that in April there was about 60% turnout of the 620+ registered voters. 7. Public Works Report: Scott Construction will re-sealcoat Parts of Lodi-Springfield Rd, Fellows Rd., Lee Rd. and Pertzborn Rd. Scott’s Construction is coming out to reseal the roads that didn’t seal up correctly. The Town of Dane will have a rolling quorum on Thursday May 4th, 2023, at 1pm, for the purpose of road inspections. Lodi-Springfield Rd, Fellows Rd, Lee Rd, and Pertzborn Rd will be inspected. No motions will be made. 8. Recycling Committee Report: Saturday May 6th Spring Clean-up 8:00am – 12:00pm a. Wednesdays for the Summer: May 10 until September 27 5:00-6:30pm 9. Fire District Report. Dorn reported that at the Fire District meeting bills were paid and V of Dane hasn’t come up with who will be on the board so that discussion was tabled until the next meeting. 10. EMS Report. Haag reported that Waunakee approved the expenditure statement and 3rd ambulance is online and using it. 3rd ambulance is smaller than other ones but liking it. In 2025 possibly switching out the other 2 and have a 2-year build time. DeForest has a new company that builds ambulances so reaching out to them and going to keep an eye out for the flex grant money. Rich was unable to attend the Lodi EMS meeting. 11. Hire Paul Johnson from Boardman and Clark for quarry business. Dave called Paul Johnson from Boardman and Clark and our fee for the Town will be $240/hr. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to approve Paul Johnson from Boardman and Clark as the Towns Attorney for the Quarry Business. 12. Open Book-5/18/2023 4-6pm. Confirmed. 13. Board of Review-5/30/2023 4-6pm. Confirmed. 14. Discussion and action for Ripp Dr and Lodi-Springfield Rd Culvert Installation. Koenig reported we don’t have the backing for this project unless we want to change banks – Prairie du Sac, DeForest/Morrisonville. Dave will call those 2 banks and see which of those 2 banks will better fit for Town of Dane needs. 15. Correspondence to be presented N/A 16. Bills to be paid. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to pay the bills. Motion carried unanimously. 17. Set next meeting date-June 5, 2023. Confirmed. 18. Adjourn-. Motion by Dorn, second by Haag to adjourn the meeting.
