10/30/2023 Special Board Minutes Attendance: Angie Volkman (Town Clerk) 1. Call meeting to order. Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Dave Koenig, Town of Dane Chair. 2. Employee Discussion. Koenig informed the Town Board that Craig Schmelzer, Town Patrolman, put in his 2-week notice on Monday 10/30/2023 via conversation. Schmelzer informed Koenig that he found a new opportunity. Koenig approached Stephen Schoenberg, Town Patrolman, to see if there was interest in becoming Lead and Stephen was not sure but would think about it and get back to him. The Board decided to go back to Schmelzer and have a discussion more in depth about the “why” he’s leaving. If from that discussion Schmelzer still decides to leave, Angie Volkman, Town Clerk, will put ad in the paper. 3. Adjourn. Motion by Haag, second by Dorn to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
