FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES APRIL 7, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Mayor McDermott at 6:00 PM. Present at roll call were: Mayor McDermott, Dave Roelli, Steve Pickett, and Kerry Black. Absent: None. Also present were: Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, John Sonsalla, and Amy Johnson. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by Roelli, seconded by Black, to go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1)(c), Wis. Stats., to review applications received for the Seasonal Parks Position and, if appropriate, recommend the hiring of an applicant for the position. Roll call vote. All ayes. Motion by Roelli, seconded by Pickett, to reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats., to recommend the hiring of a Seasonal Parks Position employee, if appropriate, to the City Council for approval; and to adjourn the meeting. Roll call vote: All ayes. After discussion and consideration, motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to approve the hiring of Chuck Keister for the Seasonal Parks Position with a wage of $15.00 an hour. Motion carried. There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to adjourn the meeting at 6:07 PM. CITY OF DARLINGTON _____________________________ Amy L. AGENDA FOR A MEETING OF THE FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DARLINGTON TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, THE 7th DAY OF APRIL 2026 AT 6:00 PM; WHICH MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL ROOM AT THE DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING, DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN 1. Call to order by presiding officer. 2. Roll call. 3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. 4. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy enclosed) 5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present. 6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings. 7. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and Resolutions. The Committee will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1) (c) Wis. Stats., to review applications received for the Seasonal Parks Position and, if appropriate, recommend the hiring of an applicant for the position; The Committee will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85(2), Wis. Stats., to recommend the hiring of a Seasonal Parks Position employee, if appropriate, to the City Council for approval; and to adjourn the meeting. 8. Adjourn the meeting.
