Meeting Held: September 22, 2025
1. Call to Order: By President Alex Santacruz at 6:30PM
2. Roll Call: Janet Trout, Matt Walter, Sonja Wiegel, John Knellwolf, Alex Santacruz,
Cindy Corley, Patti Taylor, and Carly Winslow. All were present
3. Motion that meeting notice and agenda were properly posted:
a. 1st Winslow, 2. Wiegel. Motion Carried
4. Approval of minutes from previous meeting
a. 1st Corley, 2. Walter. Motion Carried
5. Reports, comments, and suggestions from citizens or other parties
a. None
6. Unfinished Business:
a. Discussion and action concerning nominations for treasurer
i. Nominated by Winslow, 2nd Wiegel.
ii. Nomination accepted by Knellwolf
iii. Motion Carried. John Knellwolf is acting treasurer.
b. Election of 2025-2026 Officers
i. Previous nomination for Sonja Wiegel as President
1. Nomination accepted by Wiegel.
2. Motion Carried-Sonja Wiegel is acting president.
ii. Previous nomination for Matt Walter as Vice President
1. Nomination accepted by Walter
2. Motion Carried-Matt Walter is acting Vice President
iii. Nomination made for Carly Winslow for Secretary
1. Nomination by Corley, 2nd Taylor
2. Nomination accepted by Winslow
3. Motion Carried-Carly Winslow is acting Secretary
iv. Current Officers as of September 22nd 2025: President: Sonja Wiegel,
Vice President: Matt Walter, Secretary: Carly Winslow, and Treasurer:
John Knellwolf.
1. 1st Motion Santacruz, 2nd Taylor confirm those officers. Motion
Carried.
c. Discussion concerning Children’s Book Council Books
i. Going very well.
ii. We have received 378 Books thus far (as of Friday).
iii. More books have gone out to daycares and to DEMS
iv. Voting ends February 2026.
d. Past Events
i. Lori Crompton started story hour on Tuesdays-going well and well
attended.
ii. ADRC caregiver talks continue on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
iii. Fantasy Football Draft was well attended.
iv. Bat speaker came and well attended.
v. 22 new library cards issued thus far in September.
vi. Mom Book Club started this month with 8 members.
vii. Home School Group is participating in a mobile library starting in
October.
viii. Janet officially started her online certification classes on Monday.
e. Discussion and action concerning the proposed 2026 Library Budget
i. Discussed at length
ii. Motion by Winslow, 2nd Walter to approve our budget for presentation
to City Council. Motion Carried.
7. New Business
a. Discussion and action concerning Library Revenues
i. Motion by Winslow, 2nd Wiegel to approve the projected revenues.
Motion Carried.
b. Discussion Concerning Library CDs
i. First ones up will be in March-will start looking at these in
January/February.
c. Discussion and action concerning the reimbursement of the retirement
payout of previous Library Director
i. Motion by Corley, 2nd Winslow to approve the payout of
reimbursement. Motion Carried.
d. Report of upcoming Library Events:
i. Monthly Newsletter Presented

1. September 22nd-September 27th AARP Seed Library Plant Swap
2. September 24th-September 25th AARP Seed Garden Potluck
3. September 23rd 10am: Caregiver Talks with ADRC

payout of the previous Library Director.

(e) Approve payment of the following August 2025 vouchers: Librarian account
vouchers #4758 through #4769 in the amount of $2,082.84.
