POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND ORDINANCE
COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 17, 2024
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Steve Pickett at 6:00 PM. Present
at roll call were: Cindy Corley, Kerry Black, Joe Boll, and Steve Pickett. Absent: None. Also
present were: Mayor Mike McDermott, Dave Roelli, John Sonsalla, Jeff McCarthy, Amy Johnson,
and Justin Randecker.
Motion by Black, second by Boll that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
Motion carried. Motion by Boll, second by Corley to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.
Motion carried.
Under unfinished or deferred business, discussion was then held concerning a social media
policy for the City of Darlington. The sample policy was included in the packet. It was
recommended to change two words in the policy. After discussion and consideration, motion by
Boll, seconded by Black to approve the policy with the changes. Motion carried. Szvon Conway
arrived to the meeting at 6:05 PM.
There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Black, second by Corley to
adjourn the meeting at 6:05 PM. Motion carried.

2. Roll call.
3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
4. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy
enclosed)
5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present. (3-minute
limit)
6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings.
(a) Discussion and action concerning a social media policy for the City of Darlington.
7. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and
Resolutions.
8. Adjourn the meeting.
