PLAN COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 5, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 6:30 PM. Present at roll call were: Joe Boll, Fritz Hanewall, Dave Roelli, Mike McDermott, Kyle McCarville, and Jeff McCarthy. Absent: None. Also present were: Steve Pickett, John Sonsalla, Cindy Corley, Kerry Black, Jesse Westerman, and Amy Johnson. Motion by McCarthy, seconded by McCarville, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by Roelli, seconded by McCarthy, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Under reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present, there was nothing to report. Under new business, discussion was held concerning the proposed sign request from Furst Staffing for their business located at 336 Main Street. Copies of the proposed sign/decal design and the Darlington Chamber/Main Street Building Façade Application approved by the Chamber Director, Jesse Westerman, were included in the agenda packet. After review and consideration, motion by McCarville, seconded by Hanewall, to table the proposed sign and building façade request for the building located at 336 Main Street as presented, and have Furst Staffing redesign the decals with colors from the approved Historical paint colors. Motion carried. There being no further business for this meeting, motion by McCarthy, seconded by Hanewall to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 PM. Motion carried. CITY OF DARLINGTON Amy L.
