POLICE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 7, 2025
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 5:30 PM. Present at roll call: Joe
Boll, Steve Pickett, John Sonsalla, Kerry Black, and Dave Roelli. Absent: Cindy Corley. Also present: Jeff
Spencer with the Wisconsin Professional Police Association and Amy Johnson.
Motion by Sonsalla, seconded by Pickett, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
Motion carried. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Boll, to approve the minutes of the previous meetings.
Motion carried.
Under new business, motion by Roelli, seconded by Boll, to go into closed session in accordance
with Section 19.85 (1) (c) Wis. Stats. to meet with representatives of the Darlington Professional Police
Association to begin negotiations on the renewal of the Police Union contract.
Motion by Pickett, seconded by Sonsalla, to reconvene to regular session in accordance with
Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats., to adjourn the meeting. Roll call vote: all ayes. Motion carried.
There being no further business for this meeting, motion by Roelli, seconded by Black, to adjourn
the meeting at 5:37 PM. Motion carried.

COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DARLINGTON TO BE HELD
ON TUESDAY, THE 7th DAY OF OCTOBER 2025 AT 5:30 PM; WHICH
MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL ROOM AT THE
DARLINGTON MUNICIPAL BUILDING, DARLINGTON, WISCONSIN
1. Call to order by presiding officer.
2. Roll call.
3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted.
4. Approve the minutes for the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy
enclosed)
5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present.
6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings.
7. New business. Including but not limited to the introduction of Ordinances and
Resolutions.
The Committee will go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85 (1) (c) Wis. Stats. to
meet with representatives of the Darlington Professional Police Association to begin negotiations
on the renewal of the Police Union contract.
The Committee will reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats.,
to adjourn the meeting.
8. Adjourn the meeting.
