WATER AND SEWER COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 15, 2024 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mike McDermott at 6:30 PM. Preset at roll call were: Dave Roelli, Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, Kerry Black, John Sonsalla, Steve Pickett. Absent: None Also present were: Mayor Mike McDermott, Jeff McCarthy, and Kim Winslow. Motion by Roelli, second by Sonsalla, the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by Pickett, second by Boll, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Under reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present - nothing to report. Under unfinished or deferred business - nothing to report. Under new business, presentation and action concerning the proposed 2025 Water Department budget. A small typo was found in Water Treatment Expenses – the 2025 Proposed Budget for Chemicals should be $8,000.00, not $5,000.00 as listed, making the difference $3,000.00 from the previous year. After discussion and consideration, motion by Roelli, second by Black, to approve the proposed 2025 Water Department budget as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried. Presentation and action concerning the proposed 2025 Sewer Department budget. Discussion was held regarding reducing the Metered Service – Industrial Revenues 2025 Proposed Budget from $250,000.00 to $150,000.00. After discussion and consideration, motion by Roelli, second by Pickett, to approve the 2025 Sewer Department budget with the amended change to the Metered Service – Industrial Revenues from $250,000.00 to $150,000.00. Voice vote. Motion carried. There being no further business, motion by Roelli, second by Sonsalla, to adjourn the meeting at 6:58 pm. Voice vote. Motion carried. CITY OF DARLINGTON Kim L.
