WATER AND SEWER COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 21, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dave Roelli at 5:30 PM. Present at roll call were: John Sonsalla, Kerry Black, Dave Roelli, Joe Boll, Cindy Corley, and Steve Pickett. Absent: Mayor McDermott. Also present were Jeff McCarthy, Szvon Conway, and Amy Johnson. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Boll, the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Motion by Sonsalla, seconded by Pickett, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Under new business, presentation and action concerning the proposed 2026 Water Department budget. A small typo was found in Public Fire Protection Revenues – the 2025 Projection should be $216,152.43, not $128,000.00 as listed. The budget calls for total revenues of $795,000.00 and total expenses of $598,550.00. Total revenues are $8,400.00 higher than in 2025, and total expenses are $5,735.00 higher than in 2025. After discussion and consideration, motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to approve the proposed 2026 Water Department budget with the correction of the projected 2025 revenues for Public Fire Protection. Voice vote. Motion carried. Presentation and action concerning the proposed 2026 Sewer Department budget. The budget calls for total revenues of $1,032,415.00 and total expenses of $824,581.26. Total revenues are $20,000.00 higher than in 2025, and total expenses are $1,822.26 higher than in 2025. After discussion and consideration, motion by Pickett, second by Boll, to approve the 2026 Sewer Department budget as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
