CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Chair Ruben Colon Vice Chair Eric James Member Jodi Pena-Castaldi Member Wesley Kihlmire Member Michael Ruggieri Member Patricia Ulicny-Hoback Member Michael E. Williams 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES & AGENDA: A. Minutes of March 15, 2016 Motion by Vice Chair James, seconded by Member Ulicny-Hoback, to approve the Minutes of March 15, 2016. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 7 - Chair Colon, Vice Chair James, Member Pena-Castaldi, Member Kihlmire, Member Ruggieri, Member Ulicny-Hoback and Member Williams 4. PRESENTATIONS/AWARDS/REPORTS: 5. PUBLIC FORUM: Chairmen Colon welcomed Larry Kent and Introduced him to the other members and staff. 6. OLD BUSINESS: A. Florida Sunshine Laws and Regulations, Ethics Rules, and Robert's Rules City of Deltona Page 1 Printed on 5/23/2016 Affordable Housing Advisory Minutes April 19, 2016 Committee of Order, will be presented by Mr. Wade Vose, Esq., Vose Law Firm. Mr. Wade Vose, Esq., of Vose Law Firm presented the Florida Sunshine Laws and Regulations, Ethics, and Robert's Rule of Order to the members and public forum. Mr. Vose answered questions from the members and public. He then gave examples with explanations to the members and public on several different scenarios including violations and penalties. 7. NEW BUSINESS: Chairman Colon stated he had received some information regarding the Social Services Summit and 211 and shared it with the members. Member Castaldi explained how 211 and HMIS works and how HMIS is funded. Chairman Colon, Mr. Paradise and members discussed and agreed that having a strategy in place before calling a meeting with the Social Services would be in the best interest for all involved. 8. STAFF COMMENTS: Mr. Paradise relayed to the committee that the City Commission accepted the LHAP changes, and the LHAP has now been forwarded to Florida Housing for review. 9. BOARD/COMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS: Member Ulicny-Hoback expressed her thanks to Mr. Vose for coming and giving such an educational presentation to the committee. Member Castaldi thanked Mr. Vose for the refresher on the items. Member Ruggieri thanked Mr. Vose for such an educational presentation. Vice Chair James thanked Mr. Vose for the very informative and enlightening presentation. Member Williams thanked Mr. Vose for the presentation and doing so in layman terms. Member Kihlmire thanked Mr. Vose and stated he is looking forward to working with the Social Services to bring very needed resources to the community. Chairmen Colon relayed to the members that he has spoken with several of the City Commissioners and they are very thankful for the work the AHAC does. 10.
