CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. Minutes of April 19, 2016 Motion by Wesley Kihlmire, seconded by Jodi Pena Castaldi to approve Minutes for April 19, 2016. The motion carried by the following vote. PRESENTATIONS/AWARDS/REPORTS: A. Staff will make a presentation introducing new Affordable Housing Advisory Committee members. Mr. Paradise introduced the new AHAC members and thanked them for their service on the committee. He summarized the procedures for the new members and informed them that all meetings are public meetings, which are advertised and recorded and subject to the Florida Sunshine Laws. He provided a brief summary on the Florida Sunshine laws and noted if they had any questions please contact staff. He asked everyone to complete a brief survey for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) on services and improvements in their community. 5. PUBLIC FORUM: 6. OLD BUSINESS: 7. NEW BUSINESS: A. Public Services Summit and introduction of public services providers Various social service entities provided introductions and summarized their programs. They discussed with the committee ways to assist Deltona. B. Presentation on HMIS-Co-ordinated Entry by Mr. Jeff White, Executive Director, Volusia/Flagler County Coalition for the Homeless, Inc. Mr. Jeff White, Executive Director of the Volusia/Flagler County Coalition for the homeless (VFCCH), provided a presentation on Co-ordinated Entry using the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), and 211 (United Way). Mr. White summarized the HMIS grant and the licenses and the cost associated with them. Discussions ensued between Mr. White, AHAC Board and the Social Services. C. Status of public service providers submitting information to the UnitedWay for inclusion into the 211 data base. City Manager Shang spoke regarding the previous Social Service Summits and the importance for the continued discussions and the co-ordination between the social services providers and the City. 211 United Way representatives Christina Roebling and Loretta Wilary expressed the importance of keeping current contact information and getting many to participate, utilizing 211 and HMIS. They explained the efforts being put forth by 211 United Way on adding, updating, gathering, recruiting resources, and adding information for the data base. Discussions occurred regarding potential future Social Service Summits and ways to get more people involved in helping their community. BOARD/COMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS: The committee concurred that the meeting was productive and informative and that the committee should assist the agencies as much as possible. 10.
