1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 5:14 pm.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 6 - Chair Jodi Pena-Castaldi
Vice Chair Patricia Ulicny-Hoback
Member Terri Ellis
Member Cassie Landron
Member Manny Rodriguez
Member Michelle Wallace-Chin
Excused: 2 - Member Commissioner Avila-Vazquez
Member Eric James
Absent: 1 - Member Sylvia Hayes
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES & AGENDA:
A. Minutes of September 20, 2022
Motion by Member Wallace-Chin, seconded by Member Rodriguez, to
approve the AHAC Minutes of September 20, 2022, as presented. The
motion carried unanimously.
4. PRESENTATIONS/AWARDS/REPORTS:
None.
5. PUBLIC FORUM: Time permitted, public comments shall be limited to items on the
agenda and shall not exceed two minutes. Please be courteous and respectful of the
views of others. Personal attacks on Committee/Board members, City staff or
members of the public are not allowed and will be ruled out of order by the Chair.
Chair Penã-Castaldi opened and closed the public forum as there was none.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
None.

7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. AHAC Report
Motion by Member Wallace-Chin, seconded by Member Rodriguez, to
accept the AHAC Report as written, submit to the City Commission, and
transmit to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation.
For: 6 - Chair Pena-Castaldi, Vice Chair Ulicny-Hoback, Member
Ellis, Member Landron, Member Rodriguez and Member
Wallace-Chin
8. STAFF COMMENTS:
Mr. Paradise thanked the Committee members.
9. BOARD/COMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS:
Discussion occurred regarding Hurricane Ian.
Member Landron stated she's looking forward to next year and has a few possible
speakers.
Member Ellis spoke regarding the Volusia County affordable housing funding, Hurricane Ian
drone footage, and Deltona TV.
Member Rodriguez spoke regarding septic tanks and Deltona Strong.
Member Wallace-Chin thanked staff.
10. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm.
