February 4, 2015 CITY OF DERBY ROLL CALL GERALD BROWNLEE JIM BURGESS TOM DAVIDSON, SECRETARY JACK HEMPHIL - ABSENT DUANE DAY, VICE CHAIRMAN DIANE SCHMITT, TREASURER ELEANOR UNDERWOOD, CHAIRMAN - ABSENT CITY STAFF DEE WILLIAM KIM HART Public Forum Agenda Item #1. Dee Williams stated she is currently working on the 2016 budget and the annual report. RE: New Exercise Instructor Heather Edwards. Diane Schmitt let the Board know the seniors really like the new exercise instructor Heather Edwards who teaches Weight Strength and Fitness and Flexibility. RE: Reserved Senior Center Parking. Duane Day asked Dee Williams if the City would consider reserving parking spaces for Senior Center Parking only. Dee stated organizations who use the Austin Room need all parking to be available. Agenda Item #2 RE: Advisory Board Fund report for January 2015. Diane Schmitt reported January revenue was $760.55 expenses were $148.60, with an ending balance for January of $14,175.99. MOTION: Tom Davidson moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for January 2015. Gerald Brownlee seconded. VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #3 RE: Approve January 2015 Advisory Board Meeting minutes. MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion to approve the minutes from January 2015. Diane Schmitt seconded. 1 VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #4 RE: Derby Dash Scholarship Fund Report. Dee Williams reviewed the Derby Dash Scholarship Fund report, $0 was used in January. MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved to receive and file the January 2015 Derby Dash Scholarship Fund report. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 4 yea, motion carried Agenda Item #5 RE: TNT Ham & Beans. Tom Davidson stated the balance sheet will be reviewed at the March Advisory Board Meeting. Tom said 67 people attended with 8 or 9 workers. The March menu will be Chicken & Noodles. Discussion was held. Agenda Item #6 RE: Senior Center Refrigerator. Dee Williams stated the new GE refrigerator a 25.2 cu foot with a drawer freezer is still stuck in coastal holding scheduled for delivery on February 12th. Discussion was held. Agenda Item #7 RE: Upcoming DSC Advisory Board Vacancies. Dee Williams stated she had received four applications and she will accept more for the DSC Advisory Board. There are four vacancies and the deadline to apply is March 5th. Discussion was held. Agenda Item #8 RE: TNT Spreadsheets. Dee Williams reviewed the TNT spreadsheets for 2013 & 2014. Sharon discussed coming up with four to six dinners and buying supplies to make those meals on a rotation. Discussion was held. The meals that seemed to make the most money is Chicken & Noodles, Ham & Beans, Pork Tenderloin, Spaghetti and B.B.Q Beef or Pulled Pork Sandwiches in the summer. Tom Davidson said he will discuss this with Sharon Davidson. 2 ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion for adjournment. Tom Davidson seconded.
