Dee introduced Janice Neagle the new board member and thanked her for serving on the Advisory Board. RE: Senior Celebration. Dee Williams shared a thank you note for the $100 donation to the Senior Celebration. RE: Commissioner Howell. Dee Williams stated she mailed a thank you note to Commissioner Howell for attending the April 29th Advisory Board meeting. Jim Burgess stated he spoke with Commissioner Howell and he had positive things to say about the Senior Center. RE: Agenda Item #9. Eleanor Underwood stated Agenda Item #9 should be changed to read Election of Officers not Appointment of Officers. Agenda Item #2 RE: Advisory Board Fund report for April 2015. Advisory Board Fund report for May 2015. Diane Schmitt gave the Advisory Board Fund report for April. The deposits totaled $866.75 and expenditures totaled $672.18. The ending balance for April was $14,149.06. Diane gave the Advisory Board Fund report for May. The deposits totaled $653.50 and expenditures totaled $1,484.20. The ending balance for May was $13,169.76. 1 MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for April and May 2015. Duane Day seconded. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #3 RE: Approve April 29, 2015 Advisory Board Meeting minutes. MOTION: Duane Day made a motion to approve the minutes from April 29, 2015. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #4 RE: Approve April and May 2015 Derby Dash Scholarship Report. Dee Williams gave the report for the April and May Derby Dash Scholarship Report. There was $0 used for scholarships in April and $40 in scholarships used in May, leaving an ending balance $724.33. MOTION: Tom Davidson made a motion to approve the Derby Dash Scholarship Report from April and May 2015. Gerald Brownlee seconded. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #5 RE: TNT April. TNT May. Tom Davidson reported on the April and May 2015 TNT. The total profit for April TNT was $166.06 and a total profit for the May TNT was $83.16. Agenda Item #6 RE: Active Aging. Dee requested the Board make a $100 donation to Active Aging in 2015. MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion the Board mail $100 to Active Aging for 2015. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #7 RE: July 16th Board Sponsored Bingo. 2 Dee Williams requested the Board sponsor an evening Bingo event on Thursday July 16th. Dee stated she is asking for $500 to provide prizes and food. Jim Burgess requested that Dee and Laura present details at the next meeting. MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion to donate $500 to the July 16th Board Sponsored Bingo. Duane Day seconded. VOTE: 5 yea, 1 nay, motion carried. Agenda Item #8 RE: Quilt Donations. Duane Day stated he has contacted several merchants in Derby to set up a table to accept donations for the quilt. Sales will begin July 1st through November 20th. Dee Williams suggested Board members take one month each and be in charge of the volunteers that sign up for their month. MOTION: Diane Schmitt made a motion the Board sell quilt donation tickets July 1st through November 20th and the price will be 1 ticket for $1 or 6 tickets for $5. Janice Neagle seconded. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried. Agenda Item #9 RE: Election of Officers. Dee Williams reviewed the duties of all the officers of the Board. Jim Burgess nominated Eleanor Underwood as Chairman. Gerald Brownlee seconded and moved that nominations ceased. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried Gerald Brownlee nominated Duane Day as Vice Chairman. Tom Davidson seconded and moved that nominations ceased. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried Gerald Brownlee nominated Tom Davidson as Secretary. Jim Burgess seconded and moved that nominations ceased. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried Tom Davidson nominated Diane Schmitt as Secretary. Duane Day seconded and moved that nominations ceased. VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried 3 Agenda Item #10 RE: DSC Advisory Board Manual. Dee Williams handed out the Advisory Board Manuals and reviewed its contents in detail.
