RE: Accreditation Process.
Dee Williams explained the process of the Accreditation to the Board. Dee introduced Mary
Strickland a volunteer working on accreditation.
Agenda Item #2
RE: Advisory Board Fund report for August 2015.
Diane Schmitt gave the Advisory Board Fund report for August. The deposit total was $751.08
and expenditures total $527.68 with an ending balance $13,193.79.
MOTION: Gerald Brownlee moved to receive and file the Advisory Board Fund report for
August. Duane Day seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.

RE: Approve August 5, 2015 Advisory Board Meeting minutes.
MOTION: Jim Burgess made a motion to approve the minutes from August 5, 2015, with the
correction. Janice Neagle seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.
Agenda Item #4
RE: Approve August 2015 Derby Dash Scholarship Report.
Dee Williams gave the report for the August Derby Dash Scholarship Report. There was
$200 used for scholarships in July, leaving an ending balance $384.33. Discussion was held.

MOTION: Tom Davidson made a motion to approve the Derby Dash Scholarship Report for
August 2015. Duane Day seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.
Agenda Item #5
RE: Accreditation.
Code of Meeting Procedures, Mission Statement, Goals and the Duties of the Board were
reviewed and updated.
MOTION: Duane Day made a motion to approve the changes to the Code of Meeting
Procedures as agreed on. Tom Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.
Senior Center Handbook and the Rules of Conduct were reviewed and updated.
MOTION: Duane Day made a motion to approve the changes to the Handbook as agreed on.
Janice Neagle seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.
Ways and Means policy was reviewed and updated.
MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion to approve the changes to the City of Derby Ways
and Means Policy procedures as agreed on. Tom Davidson seconded.
VOTE: 6 yea, motion carried.
Agenda Item #6
RE: Dillon’s Rewards.
Dee Williams spoke with Dillon’s staff and the Derby Senior Center does not qualify for this
program because it is not a 5013C.
Agenda Item #7
RE: August TNT.
Tom Davidson said they served Mexican Chicken Enchiladas at the August TNT. They served a
total of 67 people and the total profit was $236.12.

RE: Quilt Ticket Sales.

Kim Hart stated the total amount for Quilt ticket sales in August was $170.00 and Tom Davidson
is the Board member responsible for the September Quilt ticket sales.
