APPROVED MINUTES SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY BOARD 10:05 AM July 5th, 2017 CITY OF DERBY ROLL CALL GERALD BROWNLEE JANICE NEAGLE JIM BURGESS - ABSENT DIANE SCHMITT, TREASURER TOM DAVIDSON, SECRETARY ELEANOR UNDERWOOD, CHAIR DUANE DAY, VICE CHAIR CITY STAFF TED AUSTIN - ABSENT BREANNA MONK KIM HART Public Forum Agenda Item #1 RE: Reports BreAnna Monk stated that the Semi Annual Report is due to the County on the 10th of July and the Funding Report is due on July 17th. RE: Sedgwick County Department on Aging Annual Audit. BreAnna Monk let the Board know that in June Stacy Niles from the Department on Aging, along with 2 auditors, Ted Austin and BreAnna met for the annual audit. BreAnna said that it went well and she wanted to thank the staff for their hard work. Agenda Item #2 RE: Advisory Board Fund Report June 2017 Diane Schmitt gave the Advisory Board Fund Report for June 2017. The expenses for June totaled $1,257.81 and the income was $736 with an ending balance of $18,984.61. MOTION: Duane Day moved to approve and file the Advisory Board Fund Report for June 2017. Tom Davidson seconded. VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried Agenda Item #3 RE: Approve June 7th, 2017 Minutes 1 MOTION: Gerald Brownlee made a motion to approve the minutes from the June 7th, 2017 Derby Senior Center Advisory Board meetings. Duane Day seconded. VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried Agenda Item #4 RE: Approve June 2017 Derby Dash Scholarship Report BreAnna Monk gave the report for the June 2017 Derby Dash Scholarship Report. $0 used in scholarships which leaves an ending balance of $319. MOTION: Diane Schmitt made a motion to approve the Derby Dash Scholarship Report for June 2017. Janice Neagle seconded. VOTE: 5 yea, motion carried Agenda Item #5 RE: June 6th 2017 TNT BreAnna Monk stated the June TNT was Sloppy Joes with a total profit of $184. The total patrons and volunteers served were 79 Agenda Item #6 RE: Suggestions/ Comment Cards BreAnna Monk stated there were no Suggestion/ Comment Cards at this time. Agenda Item #7 RE: Chicken Duty – Gerald Brownlee Agenda Item #8 RE: Code of Meeting Procedures & Rules of Conduct BreAnna Monk presented to the Board a final approved copy of the Code of Meeting Procedure, Rules of Conduct & Code of Ethics. BreAnna stated that signs have been posted above both Kiosks to let patrons know the policy on children and animals in the senior center.
