The property is at 662961 Buena Vista Ave., and was in violations of copious property maintenance and CA Health and Safety Code violations. The case was opened originally in 2016 and Compliance Manager Newsom assumed it in 2017. This case required severing several warrants, conducting countless inspections, and abating violations numerous times. The receiver’s buyer has now rehabbed fully the property and it will be sold to a single mother relocating her family here from Compton, CA. Before and after photos below. • Compliance Officer Tiyler Messer responded to a service request at 13951 La Mesa Drive. There were large piles of wood fencing panels, household items, and green waste dumped in the easement behind the property. He issued a courtesy notice of violation and then kept in contact with the contractor cleaning the property. A re-inspection of the property was conducted and all violations were corrected. Please see the before and after photos below. • Compliance Officer Linda Human conducted an inspection at 66448 Avenida Dorado. There was a large amount of outside storage in front of the garage. She left a courtesy notice on the door, upon the next re-inspection she issued a courtesy notice of violation due to nothing being moved. The first arriving engine reported a fire involving a mulch pile that was wind driven and spreading into the near by vegetation. Additional resources were requested due to limited water supply in the area and potential surrounding threat. The fire required extensive commitment time of firefighters and was contained to a .25 ac of mulch. The property was turned over to the land owner for additional mop up as needed. The were no injuries to firefighters or civilians reported on completion of the incident. 21CARRU152652 On , CALFIRE / Riverside County Fire department units responded to a reported gas leak at the address above. The first arriving engine company officer reported gas leaking from the ground on residential property. The owner of the residence stated he hit the gas line while working a backhoe. Protective measures were taken by the engine companies and approximately 12 residential homes were ordered to shelter in place. The gas company mitigated the leak at approximately 1240. No residents displaced after incident. No fire fighter or civilian injuries were reported. 21CARRU162173 On , CALFIRE / Riverside County Fire units responded to a reported structure fire at the address above, The first arriving Company Officer reported heavy fire from the front of the house that was being wind driven towards the back of the house. Firefighters we able to contain the fire to the original structure and car port, protecting adjacent homes that were threatened. Two adults were displaced and Red Cross was requested for assistance. There were no injuries reported on conclusion of the incident to firefighters and a minor burn injury to one civilians hand. 21CARRU163890 On , CAL Fire/ Riverside County Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the above address. First Unit at scene reported a single story, single family dwelling with heavy fire and smoke showing from the front of the residence. Crews made an aggressive interior attack and were able to contain the fire to the front half of the residence. It was later determined that their was one occupant at the home during the time of the fire ,but left the scene prior to Fire Dept arrival. Building and safety will have to respond to determine if house is habitable .Crews will remain on scene for the next hour for salvage and overhaul. 12/1/2021 1:40:10PM Item Number: 4.
