Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, March 6, 2024 6:00 PM
Present: Committee Members Liz Wyckoff (Chairperson), Connor O’Hanlon, and Dennis Livrone.
Recreation and Special Event Coordinator Caitlin Hernandez and Borough Manager John
Davis were also in attendance.
The Minutes from December 5, 2024, were approved as submitted.
Liz shared the EAC Project Report with the new member, Connor O’Hanlon. Liz gave an overview of the
tasks the EAC is responsible for, including Earth Day events and community outreach at the Farmer’s
Market. The DCAP, the Doylestown Climate Action Plan, is currently being developed to coincide with the
Borough’s new Comprehensive Plan. Dennis also provided more in-depth details regarding the DCAP, as
he serves as the liaison to the EAC.
John explained the Shade Tree Mission and Tasks to Connor. They serve as an advisory group on issues
related to shade trees in town and encourage residents and property owners to conserve as many of the
old-growth trees as possible.
Caitlin gave the Recreation Director Report. She updated on the court resurfacing project at Neis. The
bathrooms for Broad Commons are on track to be completed this spring. We are working on implementing
park inspections for safety and vandalism concerns. Scenic strolls are returning March 19, and Sherry will
continue to lead the group. Arts and Crafts registration will open on April 1, 2025. We have a new Arts
and Crafts director. The outdoor concert series will start in May. The shows are scheduled for May 1 and
May 29. Egg Hunt registration will open on March 22. The Children’s Shows are planned for Burpee, and
the sponsorships have been secured. There will be two in June and one in August. Nothing is scheduled
for July due to schedule conflicts with the Arts and Crafts program. We are planning events to raise funds
for the Pump Track rehabilitation, and a GoFundMe has been established.
John shared the plans for the Water Works Building Picnic Pavilion. The old Water Works building will be
demolished. In the grant proposal for the new treatment plant, we included a picnic pavilion.
Old/New Business
As there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Erika Fellman
