MINUTES CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ASSOCIATION REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, February 12, 2013 10:00 a.m. City Hall 511 Mercer Street Dripping Springs, Texas This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Marianne Simmons, Chair Gina Gillis Kambra Bolch Gouri Johannsen Danny Turner Sandy Pedrazas Jo Ann Touchstone, Secretary Thomas Brownson Marianne calls the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. All present except Gina Gillis, Danny Turner, and Thomas Brownson. Also present Market Manager Carolyn Hodges and Annie Watts with Starbella Dance. II. PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit as necessary. None. III. MINUTES A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, December 11, 2012 B. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, January 8, 2013 Kambra motions to approve with correction to Dec. 11th minutes striking “Marianne motions to….”. Marianne seconds. Motion passes, 5-0. IV. REPORTS A. Update on Advertising and Signage – Jo Ann will order banners and check on price break for third banner to hang at East end of Triangle. V. BUSINESS Discussion and Possible Action regarding: A. Planning for 2013 Season 1. Event with Starbella Dance – Annie with Starbella Dance present to present idea for Spring/Easter show from 5:30 – 6:00, photos with Easter Bunny after. Will include young dancers, adult company, DSMS Choir, and DS High Steppers. Will advertise with flyers, use banner for sponsors. Need four sponsors for event to offset costume costs. 2. Partnerships with Local Food Establishments – No further progress. 3. Season Kick Off – Jo Ann and Carolyn will both be present, no special events planned. B. Review of 2013 Vendor Applications – Applications received and approved from: Brownson Rocking B Ranch, Drippin’ Sauce, Texas Gourmet Pasta, Mick Family Farm, Custom Collars, and Fitzhugh Creek. C. 2013 Vendor Inspections – Carolyn will schedule inspections with Mick Family Farm and Custom Collars. D. Rules and Regulations for Service Providers and Non Profits – No action taken. E. Rules and Regulations for Booth Sharing – No action taken. VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Regular City Council Meeting, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. VII. ADJOURN Kambra motions to adjourn.
