MINUTES CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ASSOCIATION REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, February 18, 2014 10:00 a.m City Hall 511 Mercer Street Dripping Springs, Texas This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Marianne Simmons, Chair Gina Gillis Kambra Bolch Gouri Johannsen Sandy Pedrazas Aubrey Munguia Jo Ann Touchstone, Secretary Ralph Morren Marianne calls meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. All present except Kambra Bolch and Gina Gillis. Also present Market Manager Carolyn Hodges. II. PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit as necessary. No one speaks. III. MINUTES A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, January 21, 2014 – Ralph motion to approve. Sandy seconds. Motion passes, 6-0. IV. BUSINESS Discussion and Possible Action regarding: A. Review of January and February Markets – Weather has not been in our favor, slow in general. Need to define vendor parking area and include in checklist. Also, need to post more to FB. B. Review of 2014 Market Applications – Approved applications from Bodacious Cupcakes, Poverty Hill Salsa and Texas Yaupon Tea. C. Amendments to 2013/2014 Rules and Regulations and Application – Marianne motions to approve all edits in both the rules and regulations and application. Ralph seconds. Motion passes, 6-0. D. DS Farmers Market Co-Sponsorship of Annual Tomato Festival – No new information. E. Site Layout and Parking Plan – Item tabled. F. Report on Fiscal Year 2014 Income and Expenses – Item tabled. G. 2014 Advertising Expenses - Item tabled. H. 2014 Special Events – Item tabled. I. Proposal from The Friends of the Pound House Foundation and The Heritage Circle of Dripping Springs for Educational Demonstrations to be Presented at the April 2014 Markets – Marianne motion to approve proposed market participation with set up occurring no later than 12 pm with a signed participation agreement on file. Ralph seconds. Motion passes, 6-0. J. Request from Austin Honey Company for Vendor Exclusivity at the Dripping Springs Farmers Market – Gouri motions to authorize Jo Ann to respond in writing to request denying exclusivity. Ralph seconds. Motion passes, 5-0-1. Marianne abstains. V. REPORTS – Update on Farmers Market Website Enhancements VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS A.
