City of Dripping Springs Farmers Market Association Board Meeting Minutes Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL COMMISSION: Gouri Johannsen - Chair Diana Black Claudia Oney Marianne Simmons - Vice Chair Gary Gilstrap Charissa Giles Aimee Mick - Secretary Teresa Strube Market Manager: Laurel Robertson The Regular Meeting of the City of Dripping Springs Farmers Market Association Board was called to order at 10:07AM, Tuesday November 8, 2016 by Gouri Johannsen. Roll call was taken and members present included, Gouri Johannsen - Chair, Marianne Simmons, Claudia Oney, Teresa Strube, Diana Black, Charissa Giles and Aimee Mick serving as secretary. Gary Gilstrap was absent. II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. III. MINUTES A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, October 11, 2016 A motion was made by Claudia Oney and seconded by Aimee Mick to approve the Regular meeting minutes from October 11, 2016, with the following amendments. Item VII. RULES AND REGULATIONS SUBCOMMITTE should note that the discussion was tabled and Item VIII. OTHER BUSINESS D. Farmers Market Association Board Subcommittee Assignments discussion was tabled. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes. IV. REPORTS A. Farmers Market Manager's Monthly Report Report from the Market Manager to the Board regarding Farmers Market activities. Laurel will include information on weekly vendors, numbers, types, in her monthly report. B. Fiscal Year 2017 Income Statement Monthly Report Gouri will ask the city to include an additional column for the 2017 annual budget to the Income Statement. V. MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS Discussion and possible action regarding: Next month take action on purchasing a market entry canopy with welcome banners? General discussion includes: For our Facebook page, we are at 3000 likes as of 10/31/16. New time patches for change in market times will be put up on banners. Received new sandwich board signs for market entry, which will be put up Wednesday. 500 Cards to be distributed new subdivisions and other Dripping Springs businesses. Auction item including $20.00 Farmers Market Wooden Nickels was donated to Friends Foundation BBQ. Discussion We will not do KDRP advertisement at this time A.
