City of Dripping Springs Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting Agenda Monday, February 9, 2015 at 6:30 PM City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL COMMISSION: Brenda Medcalf - Chair Stephanie Holtzendorf Paul Sanchez Evan Taddia - Vice Chair Ted Lehr Trent Edwards Steve Fournier Michael Monaghan Brad Thomas Sharon Goss Chris Nuccio AJ Bergeron STAFF & ADVISORY: Pun Nio& Les Kubena, Advisory Ginger Faught, Deputy City Administrator Brenda Medcalf calls the meeting to order at 6:45pm. All present except Evan Taddia, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Ted Lehr, Trent Edwards and Brad Thomas II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. – None. III. MINUTES A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, January 26, 2015 - Chris Nuccio motions to approve the minutes. AJ Bergeron seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes. IV. BUSINESS Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Founders Day Festival Facilities Use Agreement Between the City of Dripping Springs, Dripping Springs Lions Club and Dripping Springs Independent School District - Chris Nuccio motions to table the agreement until the next meeting. Steve Fournier seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes. B. Boardbook Online Agenda Management Website - Presentation to the members present. C. 2015 Founders Day Contracts 1. St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church Paul Sanchez motions to approve the contract. Mike Monaghan seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes 2. Dripping Springs Cook Off Club Brenda Medcalf motions to table the contract until members of the Cook off Club are present. Chris Nuccio seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes 3. Lone Star Latrine Steve Fournier motions to approve the contract. Chris Nuccio seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes. D. Exit Times for Vendors/Participants - Lengthy discussion about the problems from last year. Cook off club is telling cooks they cannot exit down Wallace to Bluff. V. Standing Committee Reports The following updates relate to the administration of the 2015 Founders Day Festival. No action to be taken. A. Site Plan: AJ Bergeron, Michael Monaghan, Brenda Medcalf - Discussion about allowing vendor booths on Mercer in front of Wells Fargo. This should be fine since there are no cookers located there. B. Food: Chris Nuccio, Sharon Goss C. Entertainment: Brad Thomas D. Arts & Crafts: AJ Bergeron, Michael Monaghan, Ted Lehr E. Parade: Brenda Medcalf, Stephanie Holtzendorf F. Publicity: Stephanie Holtzendorf - DeNae is working on press releases. G. Sponsorship/Underwriting: Ginger Faught, Sharon Goss, Brenda Medcalf - More sponsorships needed. Ginger can’t do it all. H. Sanitation: Paul Sanchez, Ted Lehr - Need to find out who got the City contract. I. Security: Evan Taddia, Brenda Medcalf J. Traffic/Parking: Evan Taddia K. Volunteers: Steve Fournier VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Regular City Council Meeting, February 10, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. B. Regular Founders Day Commission Meeting, February 23, 2015 at 6:30pm C. Regular Founders Day Commission Meeting, March 9, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. VII. ADJOURN AJ Bergeron motions to adjourn the meeting. Chris Nuccio seconds. VOTE: 7-0 in favor, motion passes.
