City of Dripping Springs Founder’s Day Commission Monthly Meeting March 09, 2015 Attending: Brenda Medcalf, Evan Taddia, Chris Nuccio, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Sharon Goss, Paul Sanchez, Trent Edwards, Chris Nuccio, Steve Fournier Absent: Karl Seelback, Mike Monaghan, Ted Lehr, Brad Thomas I. Call to Order: 6:45 pm by Brenda Medcalf III. Presentation of Citizens: None Minutes: Minutes of the February 23rd meeting were read. Chris made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Steve seconded. Minutes accepted. IV. Business A. Founders Day Festival Facilities Use Agreement Between the City of Dripping Springs, Dripping Springs Lions Club and Dripping Springs Independent School District.  Contract was reviewed by commissioners. Brad made a motion to accept the contract as submitted. Evan seconded. Contract accepted. B. 2015 Founders Day Contracts 1. DS Lions Club for food Vendor Booths  Contract was reviewed by commissioners. Evan made a motion to accept the contract as submitted. Steve seconded. Contract accepted. 2. St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus for Alcohol Sales  Contract was reviewed by commissioners. Evan made a motion to accept the contract as submitted. Paul seconded. Contract accepted. 3. DS VFW for Parking  Contract was reviewed by commissioners. Evan made a motion to accept the contract as submitted. Steve seconded. Contract accepted. Standing Committee Reports A. Site Plan: No Report B. Food: No Report. C. Entertainment: No Report. D. Arts & Crafts  Gracy title moved from the old Post Office. There is a local contractor that will be in that building. He is wanting to use the booth space in front of the building for a local vendor.  Mike has written up a new policy for Arts and Crafts booths. 1 Founders Day Monthly Meeting 03/09/2015 Page 2 E. Business Booths: No Report. F. Parade  20 applications have been received. G. Publicity  Social media is currently updated with the latest information.  A press release will be going out very soon highlighting the entertainment line-up. H. Sponsorship/Underwriting  $18,000 in sponsorships received to date. A total of $35,000 is needed. I. Sanitation  Vaquero will provide the cardboard trash cans to be used this year.  Trash barrels will also be used.  Church of the Springs has not yet signed the contract with the City. They are trying to determine if they can provide all the services listed in the contract.  If they back out another group will have to be found to help with clean up of the festival area. J. Security  Security meeting scheduled for March 23rd at 2:00 pm at City Hall.  The Emergency Management meeting will be held at the same time. K. Traffic/Parking  Evan spoke with the Rotary Club and they do not feel there is enough time to put together a plan for taking care of the parking at the high school. L. Volunteers: No Report . VI. Adjourn  Motion to Adjourn made by Paul. Seconded by Chris.
