City of Dripping Springs Founder’s Day Commission Bi-Monthly Meeting April 07, 2015 Attending: Brenda Medcalf, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Sharon Goss, Paul Sanchez, Chris Nuccio, Brad Thomas, Chris Nuccio, Mike Monaghan, Steve Fournier, DeNae Lee Absent: Evan Taddia, Karl Seelback, Ted Lehr, Trent Edwards, AJ Bergeron. Visitors: Mayor Todd Purcell, PEC Representatives, Robert, City Maintenance Director I. Call to Order: 6:38 pm by Brenda Medcalf II. Presentation of Citizens: None III. Minutes: Minutes of the February 9 and March 23 meeting were read. Brad made a motion to accept the minutes from both meetings as presented. Chris seconded. Minutes accepted. IV. Business A. Electrical Needs for Founders Day Festival 2015  Todd, Kyle and Robert discussed electrical needs with each commissioner representing groups or activities using electricity during the event. Electrical needs for the festival are met. Todd asked that the Cook Off Club determine if the electrical box set up behind Pizza Cave is used. Stephanie will check on that.  Robert discussed with the commissioners what supplies were at the Stevenson building. Trash barrels will be delivered and placed behind the Stevenson building. Picnic tables will be delivered from Dripping Springs Ranch Park. Standing Committee Reports A. Site Plan:  Five Arts and Crafts booths will be added in front of Wells Fargo, between the corner and RR12.  A possible spot for the cooling bus is on Old Fitzhugh at the Masonic Lodge or in the area right next to the Masonic Lodge. B. Food:  Wild Bill wants to use a generator to power the ice container – all right to do that. C. Entertainment:  Brad has contracts for the bands/sound and will get those to the City.  Home Depot needs to be contacted regarding setting up the stage. 1 Founders Day Monthly Meeting 03/23/2015 Page 2 D. Arts & Crafts:  9 booths are left.  Southpoint does have 4 spaces assigned to them.  E. Business Booths: No Report. F. Parade  Approximately 70 applications have been received.  April 16 is the parade meeting – 6:30 at the City. G. Publicity  Press release is ready to be sent out regarding entertainment line-up, carnival ticket sales and the fun run. H. Sponsorship/Underwriting  $32,750 in sponsorships received to date. A total of $35,000 is needed. I. Sanitation  Youth group from Sunset Canyon Baptist Church will do trash pick up on Saturday and Church of the Springs will do Friday and Sunday. The youth leader at Sunset Canyon will head this and will determine, along with Church of the Springs how to divide the money. J. Security No Report. K. Traffic/Parking: No Report. L. Volunteers: Volunteer fair at the high school on 4/8/15. Steve will on-sight at the fair. VI. Adjourn  Motion to Adjourn made by Brad. Seconded by Steve.
