Founders Day Commission Meeting

City of Dripping Springs Founder’s Day Commission Bi-Monthly Meeting April 13, 2015 Attending: Brenda Medcalf, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Sharon Goss, Paul Sanchez, Chris Nuccio, Brad Thomas, Chris Nuccio, Mike Monaghan, Steve Fournier, DeNae Lee, Ted Lehr, Trent Edwards Absent: Evan Taddia, Karl Seelback, AJ Bergeron. I. Call to Order: 6:38 pm by Brenda Medcalf II. Presentation of Citizens: None III. Minutes: Minutes of the April 7 meeting were read. Brad made a motion to accept the minutes from both meetings as read. Ted seconded. Minutes accepted. IV. Business A. Approve contract with Sunset Canyon Baptist Church for 2015 Founders Day Festival Trash Pick Up  Paul made a motion to accept the contract with Sunset Canyon Baptist Church. Brad seconded. Contract accepted. Standing Committee Reports A. Site Plan:  The court room in the Stevenson building will be used for the green room.  Gary Job Core members will use the upstairs room.  Fencing, post, and cones will all be located in the Stevenson building. B. Food:  No report. C. Entertainment:  Cook Off Club wants to put up sponsor banner on main stage. There is not enough room to hang it with FD Sponsor sign so the Cook Off Clubs banner will hang over on the old post office truck loading area. D. Arts & Crafts:  My Chihuahua Bites Salsa people cannot ride in mule/golf cart during festival. E. Business Booths: No Report. F. Parade 1 Founders Day Monthly Meeting 03/23/2015  Approximately 84 applications have been received. G. Publicity  One more press release will run just giving information and facts regarding Founders Day weekend. H. Sponsorship/Underwriting  Banners need to be put up in the triangle.  Posters need to be printed and put up around town. I. Sanitation  Everything is ok. J. Security No Report. K. Traffic/Parking: No Report. L. Volunteers: Lots of volunteers have signed up to help with set up and with the parade. VI. Adjourn  Motion to Adjourn made by Brad. Seconded by Steve.
