Founders Day Commission Meeting

City of Dripping Springs Founder’s Day Commission Monthly Meeting July 21, 2015 Attending: Brenda Medcalf, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Paul Sanchez, Chris Nuccio, Mike Monaghan, DeNae Lee, Sharon Goss, Evan Taddia. Absent: Chris Nuccio, Trent Edwards, Brad Thomas, Karl Seelbach. AJ Bergeron I. Call to Order: 6:40 pm by Brenda Medcalf II. Presentation of Citizens: None III. Minutes: Minutes of the May 4 meeting were read. Mike made a motion to accept the minutes from both meetings as read. Evan seconded. Minutes accepted. IV. Business A. FY 2015 Budget Amendment  Commissioners reviewed the budget and actuals for FY2015.  The Sponsorship amount needs to be verified.  There was discussion about what to do with the money left over:  Pay down the balance for electrical upgrade. Todd’s goal is to not have to hire anyone to set up the boxes. Everything will have to be updated for that to happen.  Electrical upgrade balance is $15,171.98. Need to determine if the 4,080.49 in this year’s expenses are included in that balance.  Brenda would like to see some of the money donated to Fire and EMS. Both groups want to be paid for next year.  Paul made a motion to accept the budget amendment make donations to fire and EMS and to determine if the 4,080.49 is included in the balance of $15,171.98 and monies left over will be rolled over to FY2016 budget. B. FY 2016 Founders Day Festival Budget  Budget was discussed and amounts determined. See attached worksheet.  Mike made a motion to accept the Founders Day Festival 2016 Budget. Paul seconded. FY2016 budget accepted. C. Annual Appointment of Vice Chair and Secretary  Paul made a motion to appoint EvanTaddia as Vice Chair and Stephanie Holtzendorf as Secretary. Mike seconded. Appointments accepted. D. Commission Vacancies  There are two vacancies for the Founders Day Commission. Mike has someone that may be interested and he will contact that person.  DeNae would like to be on the Commission. The dates for Founders Day 2016 are April 22nd – 24th. 4th weekend in April. The next Founders Day meeting will be Monday October 26, 2015, 6:30 pm at City Hall.
