Historic Preservation Commission Meeting Minutes A regular meeting of the City of Dripping Springs Historic Preservation Commission was held Monday, March 7, 2016, beginning at 65:30 PM in the City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL COMMISSION: Ted Lehr - Chair Kristi Graham John Holdridge Karl Seelbach - Vice Chair Charlie Haydon Kathryn Chandler Melissa Oehler. STAFF: Michelle Fischer, City Administrator Kerri Craig, City Secretary Keenan Smith, Exterior Design, Architectural & Land Planning Consultant Commission Chair Ted Lehr calls the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. All present except Commissioners Charlie Haydon, Kathryn Chandler and Melissa Oehler. II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS Floor open to discussion on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair may establish a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. No one speaks. III. CONSENT ITEMS Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, February 1, 2016 – Commission Chair Ted Lehr motions to approve the minutes. Commission Vice Chair Karl Seelbach seconds. VOTE: 4-0 in favor, motion passes. IV. BUSINESS Discussion and possible action regarding: A. Certificate of Appropriateness for a Sign at 330 Mercer St., The French Quarter, Applicant 1. Presentation - None 2. Staff Report – City Administrator Michelle Fischer recommends approval. 3. Public Hearing – No one speaks 4. Certificate of Appropriateness – Commission Vice Chair Karl Seelbach motions to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness. Commissioner John Holdridge seconds. VOTE: 4-0 in favor, motion passes. B. Discussion regarding Potential Historic District Landscape and Pedestrian Amenity Improvements and associated Professional Design Services – City Administrator Michelle Fischer and the Commission discuss the potential improvements and services. Commission members will send comments and ideas to the City Administrator no later than March 28, 2016. No action taken. C. Dedication for Mercer Street Community Giving Tree Wall – City Administrator Michelle Fischer and the Commission discuss the dedication. City Administrator Fischer suggests that a dedication be held on April 7, 2016 during the First Thursday event involving the leaf donors and the public. No action taken. Page 1 of 2 V.
