Minutes Parks & Recreation Commission City of Dripping Springs October 6, 2014 511 Mercer Street Dripping Springs, Texas A Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Dripping Springs was held Monday, October 6, 2014, at 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Chair Robbie Zamora calls the meeting to order at 6:02 pm and takes roll call. Present: Commissioner Robbie Zamora, Chair (DSYSA); Commissioner Eric Russell, Vice Chair (DSYSA); Commissioner Robert Hayden (CODS); Commissioner Rich Moore (DSISD); Commissioner Wade King (CODS); and Commissioner Britt Figueroa (CODS). Absent: Commissioner Eric Henline (DSISD) and Commissioner Shelly Reeves (DSISD). Also present is Michelle Fischer, City Administrator. II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS-none. III. CONSENT ITEMS Discussion and Possible Action Regarding: A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, August 11, 2014 B. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, September 8, 2014 The minutes have not been prepared. No action taken. IV. BUSINESS Consideration and Possible Action On: A. City of Dripping Springs Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan- Commissioners review the draft plan priorities, implementation plan and action items. Commissioners direct City Staff to check the inventory in the plan and correct or update it as needed. Commissioners direct staff to publish a notice of a public hearing on the plan to take place on November 10th. Ms. Fischer states that the public notice will be posted on the City website and emailed to Commissioners. V. REPORTS The following updates relate to the planning and administration of the City's Parks & Recreation Program. No Action to be Taken: A. Revenues and Expenses Report - Gina Gillis, City Treasurer-on file. The approved budget is also reviewed. B. Maintenance Director's Report-Robert Steepe-on file. C. Charro Ranch Park - Robert Hayden  D. Founders Memorial Park - Robbie Zamora and Eric Henline E. Dripping Springs Ranch Park - Rich Moore and Britt Figueroa F. Sports & Recreation Park - Eric Russell and Shelly Reeves G. Veterans Memorial Park & Triangle - Wade King H. Farmers Market Report - Market Manager I. Trail Advisory Committee - Wade King and Robert Hayden Commissioner Zamora directs staff to add a report from the Parkland Dedication Ordinance Committee to the agenda. VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Regular City Council Meeting, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. B. Regular Planning & Zoning Meeting, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. C. Regular Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting, November 10, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. VII. ADJOURN-Commissioner Moore makes a motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Russell. VOTE: all in favor. The motion is carried and the meeting is adjourned at 7:06 pm.
