Parks and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes
A regular meeting of the City of Dripping Springs Parks and Recreation Commission was held Monday, September 12, 2016,
beginning at 6:00 PM in the City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas.
I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Robbie Zamora, Chair (DSYSA) Eric Russell, Vice Chair (DSYSA)
Robert Hayden (CODS) Rich Moore (DSISD)
Wade King (CODS) Ron Jones (DSISD)
Eric Henline (DSISD) David Douglas (CODS)
City Staff/Appointed Officials: Michelle Fischer, City Administrator
Commission Chair Robbie Zamora calls the meeting to order at 6:04 PM. All present except
Commissioners David Douglas, Wade King, and Rich Moore. Also present is Administrative
Assistant Rachel Goodnight.
II. PRESENTATION BY CITIZENS
Discussion open to floor on any subject. No action may be taken by law. Citizens wishing to
speak shall do so after being recognized by the Chair. The Chair and Commission may establish
a time limit on each citizen wishing to speak. – Kathryn Chandler speaks about finding a location
for a new VFW.
III. CONSENT ITEMS
Discussion and Possible Action Regarding:
A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes, August 8, 2016 - Commissioner Eric Henline motions
to approve the minutes. Commission Vice Chair Eric Russell seconds. VOTE: 5-0 in favor,
motion passes.
IV. PARKLAND DEDICATION
Consideration and possible action on:
A. Conceptual Land Use Plan Presentation regarding the 297.2 acre Cannon Tract located at 110
Cannon Ranch Road, Dripping Springs, Texas (Discussion only; no action to be taken at this
time) – No action taken.
V. BUSINESS
Consideration and Possible Action On:
A. One Year Extension of Interlocal Agreement between the City of Dripping Springs and the
Dripping Springs Independent School District for Founders Memorial Park Swimming Pool
and Pavilion - Commissioner Eric Henline motions to approve if the payment on 2/1 is
changed to 20% and the payment on 4/1 is changed to 50%. Commissioner Robert Hayden
seconds. VOTE: 5-0 in favor, motion passes.
B. Maintenance and Use Agreement between the City of Dripping Springs and Dripping Springs
Youth Sports Association for Founders Memorial Park and Sports and Recreation Park – No
action taken.

C. Report on Fiscal Year 2017 Budget Request – No action taken.
