Voting Yea, Glenn, Goddard, Richardson DELEGATIONS-QUESTIONS & COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR (Each speaker shall be limited to three (3) minutes) NEW BUSINESS 1. DISCUSSION: FY 2023-2024 BUDGET A. LIBRARY The Library budget will increase to $185,619.00. This includes an increase in salaries to accommodate the Step Program and additional book purchases. Vice Mayor Glenn asked that attendance and usage information for the library be updated quarterly to the Commission. Assistant Town Attorney Claytor stated that, at the beginning of the meeting, there was no delegation present but a member of delegation did show up during the library presentation and the Vice Mayor should open the floor to delegation. Vice Mayor Glenn opened the floor for comments from the public; seeing no public come forth, the floor was closed. B. TOWN MANAGER The Executive Management Department budget will increase to $ 309,623.00. This increase will include bringing the HR/Executive Assistant into the Executive Management Department. Vice Mayor Glenn opened the floor for comments from the public; seeing no public come forth, the floor was closed. C. FINANCE The Finance department budget will increase to $253,614.00. This includes an increase in salary and wages for a new Finance Director. Vice Mayor Glenn opened the floor for comments from the public; seeing no public come forth, the floor was closed. D. SPECIAL EVENTS  The Special Events budget will increase to $90,135.00. This includes the purchase of a tree and materials for a handmade base for the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Community Center, townwide Centennial signage and Centennial events. CENTENNIAL EVENTS Covered under Special Events Assistant Town Attorney Claytor stated, as a general matter, for the record that the Town is growing and has become too big for the Town Manager to be involved in every decision. Thus, at this point, it is imperative for the Town to invest in additional and more qualified employees. Jill Kitto, 150 Kitto Lane suggested hiring a part-time person to be the Town's events person.
