Page 55 The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in a special called meeting on Monday, July 26, 2018, at 6:07 PM. Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Jennifer Hughey, Tom Mikkelsen, Ray Carroll, Craig Blackburn, Robert Johnson, and Michael Barron. The City Attorney was not present. The purpose of the meeting was: 1. Approve PO 8687 for UltraShore System to Trench Shoring Services for $3,860.00 2. Approve Other Purchase Orders • PO 8685 - For Tanker Repair - Volunteer International Originally Issued for $4,500.00 (Emergency per Mayor) Final Bill is $4,652.84 • New Purchase Order - Saw for Water/Sewer Pipe (Chainsaw Type) $2,499.00 + $600.00 (extra blade) + $100.00 (estimated Shipping) = $3,099.00 Originalbudgeted Amount was $2,000.00 Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded byTom Mikkelsen to approve Purchase Order 8687 to Trench Shoring Services for an UltraShore expansion for an existing trench boxsystem for $3,860.00. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve Purchase Order 8685 to Volunteer International for $4,652.84, affirming an emergency purchase order issued by Mayor Younger, for tank repairto the firetanker. Motion carried with all ayes. Alderman Richard Reed arrived at 6:14 PM. Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Ray Carroll to authorize the purchase of a chainsaw hotsaw for the water and sewer department for $3,199.00. Motion carried with all ayes. With no other business properly beforethe board, motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Michael Barron that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried with all ayes.
