Page 71 The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Aiderpersons met in regular session, Monday, September 23, 2019, at 7:05 PM. Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Aiderpersons Ray Carroll, Bob More, Craig Blackburn, and Jennifer Hughey. The City Attorney was present. Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Bob Moore to approve the minutes of the September 9, 2019 regular meeting. Motion carried with all ayes. Department Reports Dyer Fire Chief Ryan Shanklin asked the board to approve the purchase of an air compressor and accessories; this is a budgeted expense. Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Bob Moore to approve up to $1,178.76 for the purchase of an air compressor. Dyer Police Chief Brad Lindsey said they would begin the process of purchasing a vehicle under the state contract. The City Recorder presented the August 2019 financial report. Committee Reports Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Bob Moore to appoint Brandon Rudd as Fire Chief effective October 1, 2019. Motion carried with all ayes, with Alderman Moore noting that Rudd is his nephew. Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Craig Blackburn to approve Board Motion 2019-09-02, a motion to authorize the transfer of property to the Dyer Industrial Board. Motion carried with all ayes. New Business Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve PO 9122 to American Development for $1,412.50 for Water & Wastewater Chemicals. Motion carried with ail ayes. Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to pay the accounts. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to adjourn.
