The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in regular session, Monday,January 13, 2020, at 7:17 PM.
Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Ray Carroll, Bob Moore, Fred Ivie, Marty Graves, Michael
Barron, Craig Blackburn, Tom Mikkelsen, and Jennifer Hughey. The City Attorney was present.
Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Bob Moore to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2019
regular meeting. Motion carried with all ayes.

Visitors
Mr. Robert Johnson of,252 Oak St addressed the board asking for help with sewage draining on Oak St. Johnson
said that when it rain§rtHi'se'»^ice to his bome stops up. This problem began about 8 months ago. Mayor Younger
asked that Water and Wastewater Superintendent Randy Gregory look at the problem in the next few days.
Mayor's Report
Motion made by Fred Ivie, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to solicit bids for asphalt repair. Motion carried with all
ayes.
Mayor Younger informed the board that demolition would start on the Tri-City and adjacent buildings this week.
Department Reports
Dyer Fire Chief Brandon Rudd asked the board to approve servicing pumpers at a cost not exceed $2,000.00.
Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Marty Graves to approve up to $2,000.00 for MB Fire Apparatus to
service fire trucks. Motion carried with all ayes.
The City Recorder presented the November financial report. He also informed the Board the County Clerk had
already begun collecting for vehicle registrations and the process seems to be going well so far. Finally, he
reminded all present that Tax Relief is available from eligible residents.
Water and Wastewater Superintendent Randy Gregory asked the board to approve up to $3,500.00 to pay SDT
Contractors to repair the 45 lift station; there's a hole in the suction pipe. Motion made by Marty Graves,
seconded by Craig Blackburn to approve up to $3,500.00 to SDT Contractors for repair of the 45 South lift station.
Motion carried with all ayes.
Committee Reports
Motion made by Tom Mikkelsen, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve up to $1,600.00 for the purchase of culverts.
Motion carried with all ayes.
New Business
Motion made by Michael Barron, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve PO 9209 to Clark Power Services for
$5,100.00 for Service Truck Computer Repair. Motion carried with all ayes.
Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve PO 9171 to B&E Electronics for
$4,016.75 for Fire Radios & Pagers. Motion carried with all ayes.
Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve PO 9210 to Geotechnology, Inc for $10,560.00
for Industrial Park Geotech Study(100% Reimbursable from Dyer IDB). Motion carried with all ayes.
Motion made by Marty Graves, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve PO 9236 to Heineke & Associates for $2,915.52
for Industrial Park Wetlands Study(100% Reimbursable from Dyer IDB). Motion carried with all ayes.
Motion made by Tom Mikkelsen, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve pursuing a THDA Home Grant. Motion
carried with all ayes.
Motion made by Michael Barron, seconded by Marty Graves to pay the accounts. Motion carried with all ayes.
