Page 11 The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in regular session, Monday, February 10, 2020, at 7:04 PM. Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Bob Moore, Fred Ivie, Marty Graves, Michael Barron, Craig Blackburn, Tom Mikkelsen, and Jennifer Hughey. The City Attorney was present, Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2020 regular meeting. Motion carried with Moore, Ivie, Graves, Barron, and Hughey voting aye; Craig Blackburn and Tom Mikkelsen abstained. Mayor's Report Mayor Younger reported that he'd received a call from Mr. Robert Johnson thanking him for the city's work with his sewer problem. Mayor Younger asked the Board to approve up to $1,500.00 for Higdon Electric to complete electric work at the Eagle Community Center. Motion made by Tom Mikkelsen, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve up to $1,500.00 for Higdon Electric to complete electrical work at the Eagle Community Center. Motion carried with all ayes. Mayor Younger reported that T&T Flooring could install the flooring in the Board Room for approximately $1,500. The materials are estimated to cost $1,200.00. Department Reports The City Recorder reported that more than $2,000 was received for January vehicle registrations from the County Clerk. Committee Reports Mayor Younger asked the public works department to address washing on the ball fields at the park and to verify that ballfield lighting is working before the beginning of the season, Street, Maintenance, Water & Sewer Committee Chair Tom Mikkelsen said he had some pricing on gates for the wastewater treatment plant to discuss at an upcoming committee meeting. New Business Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Marty Graves to approve PO 9248 American Development Corp for $1,651.25 for water and wastewater chemicals. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Bob Moore to Adopt Resolution 2020-312, A Resolution to Authorizing Applying for a 2020 THDA Home Grant. Motion carried with all ayes.
