Page 39 The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in regular session, Monday,June 8, 2020, at 7:04 PM. Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Bob Moore, Craig Blackburn, Fred Ivie, Michael Barron, Jennifer Hughey, Marty Graves, and Tom MIkkelsen. The City Attorney was present. Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve the minutes of the May 11, 2020 regular meeting (which was held electronically). Motion carried with all ayes. Visitors Burt Hooper, representing the Dyer Station Celebration Committee, addressed the board with information about the upcoming Dyer Station Celebration. Events have been scaled back in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but several community events will still be held. Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to give the annual donation of Si,000.00 to Dyer Station Celebration. Motion carried with all ayes. Department Reports Street Department Supervisor Dale Carroll thanked the board and the residents of Dyer for their understanding while the department had limited staff during the coronavirus pandemic. Staffing levels have returned to normal and,"our guys are rolling," said Carroll. The City Recorder presented a request on behalf of the Water & Wastewater department for authorization to purchase a wastewater sampler for $6,800.00. Motion made by Tom Mikkelsen, seconded by Fred Ivie to authorize up to $6,800.00 for the purchase of a dipper sampler for wastewater plant. Motion carried with all ayes. New Business Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve PO A-5002 to Quality Mulch for $2,000.00 for Playground Mulch. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Crack Blackburn, seconded by Bob More to approve PO M-9354 to King Construction for $1,857.81 for Rip-Rap and Gravel. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Fred Ivie to approve PO M-9335 to Integrated, LLC for $2,281.02 for Fire Repeater/Antenna Repair. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Michael Barron, seconded by Fred Ivie to pass on its first Reading Ordinance 2020-263, an Ordinance to Adopt the 2020-2021 Annual Budget and Tax Levy, Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Crack Blackburn, seconded by Bob Moore to pass on its first Reading Ordinance 2020-264, and Ordinance to Amend the 2019-2020 Annual Budget. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Craig Blackburn to pay the accounts. Motion carried with all ayes. Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Marty Graves to adjourn.
