The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in regular session, Monday, November 9, 2020, at 7:06 PM.
Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Ray Carroll, Bob Moore, Marty Graves, Fred Ivie, Jennifer
Hughey, Michael Barren, Cralg Blackburn, and Tom MIkkelsen, The City Attorney was not present.
Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve the minutes of the October 26, 2020 regular
meeting. Motion carried with all ayes.
Mayor's Report
Mayor Younger asked the Board to correct an oversight from the last meeting concerning the rate of pay for a
public works employee in order to bring him to parity with new hires. Motion made by Cralg Blackburn, seconded
by Bob Moore to Increase Richard Pugh's rate of pay to $13.00 per our effective work weeks beginning January 25,
2021. Motion carried with all ayes.
Mayor Younger reminded the Board that the Christmas Parade will be held on December 5th; lineup will be at 4:00
PM,the parade begins at 5:00 PM.
Department Reports
The City Recorder reminded all present that the State of Tennessee provides tax relief for elderly and disabled
homeowners.
New Business
Mayor Younger asked Public Works Supervisor Dale Carroll to begin assembling a list of locations for asphalt repair.
He also said the public works department would begin working on a drainage problem on West College in the
coming weeks.
Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Bob Moore to pay the accounts of November 9, 2020. Motion carried
with all ayes.
Motion made by Jennifer Hughey, seconded by Craig Blackburn to adjourn. Motion carried with all ayes.
