Page 11 The City of Dyer Board of Mayor and Alderpersons met in regular session, Monday, February 8, 2021, at 7:11 PM. Those present were Mayor Chris Younger, Alderpersons Bob Moore, Ray Carroll, Tom Mikkelsen, Jennifer Hughey, Craig Blackburn, and Fred Ivie. The City Attorney was present. Motion made by Craig Blackburn, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to approve the minutes of the January 25, 2021 regular meeting. Motion carried with all ayes. Mayor's Report Mayor Younger announced the appointment of the following committees: Parks & Public Spaces Committee: Jennifer Hughey (chair); Members Barron, Blackburn, Ivie, and Moore Police Committee: Michael Barron (chair); Members Carroll, Ivie, Graves, Blackburn Fire Committee: Marty Graves (chair); Members Moore, Carroll, Blackburn, Barron Buildings & Facilities Committee: Tom Mikkelsen (chair); Members TBD Downtown Revitalization Committee (Ad Hoc): Tom Mikkelsen (chair); Members TBD Department Reports The City Recorder encouraged those present to continue to spread the word about tax relief. Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Shanklin asked the board to appoint Hunter Carson as a Firefighter. Motion made by Bob Moore, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to hire and appoint Hunter Carson as a Firefighter. Motion carried with all ayes. New Business Motion made by Ray Carroll, seconded by Jennifer Hughey to pay the accounts of February 8, 2021. Motion carried with all ayes.
