Board of Mayor and Aldermen
March 4, 2025
1. Call to Order: The Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened for a scheduled meeting
on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Dyersburg Municipal Court Room. Mayor John
Holden called the meeting to order. All members were present with the exception of
Alderman Hammond. Others attending were Fire Chief Sipes, City Treasurer Steve
Anderson and Katie Little. The meeting opened with The Pledge of Allegiance and a
prayer by Alderman Burks.
2. Public Comment : none
3. Approval of Minutes: Mayor Holden called for a motion to approve the minutes from
the January 6, 2025 meeting. Alderman Crawford made a motion to approve the minutes
and Alderman Cole seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
4. Unfinished Business: none
5. New Business:
A. Presentation of FY 2024 Annual Financial Report (Audit) – Katie Little
Ms. Little gave an overview and answered questions concerning the City of
Dyersburg Annual Financial Report, she also reported there were no findings for
the City of Dyersburg.
B. Resolution 03042025 – A resolution authorizing the City of Dyersburg,
Tennessee to participate in the Property Conservation Matching Grant Program.
Mayor Holden called for a motion to approve. Alderman Moody made the motion to
approve and Alderman Baltimore seconded the motion. All voted in favor.

Purpose: Replace transmission
Budgeted: No - Repair & Maintenance Item
Notification – None – Emergency repair of equipment.

Purpose: Replace older dumpsters
Budgeted: Yes – Operating Supplies
Notification – None – Sourcewell Contract # 040621-WQI
Bids: Wastequip, LLC - $16,253.00
Awarded bid to Wastequip, Eagleville, TN - $16,253.00
REPORT FROM ALDERMEN AND ALDERWOMEN:
James Baltimore: Alderman Baltimore praised city workers for their dedication during the
previous bad weather.
Edward Burks: Alderman Burks asked about the timeline of upcoming paving projects.
Willie Cole: no report.
Rick Crawford: Alderman Crawford thanked City Treasurer, Steve Anderson, and all the
employees who helped with the Financial Report.
Ricky Hammond: no report
Joey Harrison: Alderman Harrison asked that we not forget to recognize all workers that
help with the education of students.
Dennis Moody: Alderman Moody questioned if there was anyone at TDOT that could be
contacted to help assist with the state roads when it comes to paving.
Vanedda Webb: no report
