COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES VILLAGE OF EAST TROY January 13, 2026 Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order Roll Call Chairperson Holm called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. All attended the meeting via Teams. Present: Chairperson Jim Holm, President Johnson, Commissioners Jerry Curtin, Tyler Olson, and Elizabeth Scherbarth Excused: Commissioner John Isleb Absent: Others: Eileen Suhm, Administrator/CDA Executive Director Public Comment None Approval of Minutes Minutes dated December 4, 2025, and December 16, 2025 Motion by Commissioner Curtin, seconded by Commissioner Olson to approve the minutes from December 4, 2025, and December 16, 2025. Motion carried. New Business 1. Review and discussion regarding marketing plan presented by a5 Branding & Digital The marketing plan creative contents were reviewed. Discussion included: • Emphasis on a clear and thoughtful growth strategy, which was reflected in comments a5 heard during interviews • Including East Troy by the numbers • The Building with You incorporating yellow was preferred o Alternatives to Building with You, including Let’s Build Around You and Let’s Build with You could be utilized for different circumstances • Discussed target markets and those recommended during interviews • Campaign purpose is to target more housing options, commercial/industrial for south of I43, and retail for the square • Separate website developed in square space for development and linked to Village site as well as other sites such as Walworth County Economic Development Alliance (WCEDA), and Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) • Marketing utilizing: Google Ads; LinkedIn, which can target specific job titles and industries as well as cross promoting through Briohn Building Corporation’s LinkedIn campaign; Milwaukee Business Journal; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; and Billboards The next steps were discussed as follows: • Getting a list of people/places to photograph • a5 will develop a site map for the website and design concepts to be presented to the CDA • Members should think about the importance of LinkedIn and whether marketing options such as the Milwaukee Business Journal make sense  COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES VILLAGE OF EAST TROY January 13, 2026 Page 2 of 2 • a5 will need budget guidance to make further recommendations so they understand priorities and how to allocate funding in the most efficient way. Their recommendations will be discussed at the next meeting Old Business None Next potential meeting date: To be discussed at meeting. The next meeting will be Tuesday, February 10 or February 11 and be held remotely via Teams.
