EAST TROY VILLAGE BOARD SPECIAL BOARD MINUTES March 27, 2024 Page 1 of 1 Call Meeting to Order; Pledge of Allegiance Clerk Alexander verified the meeting was posted according to law. Roll Call: President Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present: President Johnson, Trustees John Alexander, Mary Nugent, Fortune Renucci, and Joe Wisnewski Excused: Jim Holm, Jason Smalley Others: Administrator Suhm, Clerk Alexander Meeting was a held remotely via Teams Consent Agenda 1. Consider recommendations from Community Development Authority for façade grant awards a. Jim Farrell, 3066 Main Street, Up to $16,181.50 b. Linda Klick, 2075 Division Street, up to $20,000 Motion by Trustee Nugent, second by Trustee Alexander, to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Consider proposals and additional information submitted for 2954 Main Street property award President Johnson thanked all the applicants for their additional information. Discussion included the various points of the proposals, bringing families to East Troy, the scope of the proposed projects, and that both proposals presented the knowledge and abilities to get the job done. Motion by Trustee Nugent, second by President Johnson, to award project to Victor Stanford. Discussion included reviewing the experience and effort required to complete the project, confirmation that the project would be required to meet all applicable Village and state building codes and inspections, that Mr. Stanford had already approached the former owner of the property seeking to purchase the property, confirmation that the plan may need to be adjusted should setbacks not meet requirement for the proposed porch and that the applicant will be working on the home while maintaining his current business. The Board also thanked all the applicants and praised them for the comprehensive proposals that were presented and thanked Mr. Benedict for his impressive letter to the Board stating that it was very well written and showed great maturity and they appreciated his comments. Motion carried with Trustee Alexander abstaining from the vote. Congratulations were extended to the Stanford family, and they were directed to reach out to Administrator Suhm to begin the agreement process. The Board then thanked all applicants for their proposals and participation in the unique project opportunity. Adjourn Motion by President Johnson, second by Trustee Nugent, to adjourn. Motion carried at 6:48 pm.
