Park & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes Monday, June 8, 2026 at 5:30 pm 1. CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL Minutes: Chair Ingvall called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Ingvall, Welch, Ehret, Radtke; via Zoom: Hash, Jensen. Also present: Clayton, Petersen a. The minutes of the May 11, 2026 meeting to be corrected or approved. Minutes: Motion by Jensen, seconded by Ehret to approve the minutes of the May 11, 2026 meeting. All ayes, motion carried. b. The budget report through May to be received and filed. Minutes: The budget report through May was received and filed. c. P&R Special Projects Account through May to be received and filed. Minutes: The special projects account report through May was received and filed. OLD BUSINESS 2. Oak Hill Cemetery Entrance Sign Project Minutes: Due to the extreme difficulty in removing the bricks, the 2 center columns will not be salvaged. The bricks that have been removed thus far will be saved for future use. The 2 outside columns will be power washed and the caps repainted. The remainder of the project will proceed as planned. 3. Batting Cage Donation Minutes: Motion by Ingvall, seconded by Radtke to approve fence being paid by City. All ayes, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS 4. Bench Donation  Minutes: Motion by Hash, seconded by Jensen to accept and place the donated bench at Thoreson #2. All ayes, motion carried. 5. Aquatic Center Update Minutes: Several pipe defects have been identified; however, it is not likely that this is the entire cause of the water loss. Additional investigation is ongoing and repairs are being scheduled. We will open as soon as we can and will need to consider a discount, refund or other special promotion once an opening date has been set. 6. Foreman's Update 7.
